Dip looks like shit and doesn't last, not forgetting that it softens your clearcoat after a while, essentially ruining the paint underneath. Oh and if you have rust, still gotta take care of it or it's going to be 10x worse.
I was going to show off some pictures of my nasty old front rotors but my Lumia 640 has decided to stop syncing photos with OneDrive. Wheel no longer shakes when braking but still kinda pulls to the left. The steering wheel is also tilted a tiny bit when going straight so I'll see what an alignment does once I get some factory '86 wheels and tires.

It does wonders to revitalize faded plastics.
So is there a specific definition of "Supercar"? Everyone seems to have a different definition.
I've always wondered, how does the VIN work on street legal custom frame jobs? Do they cut out the piece with the vin and put it on the new one, kinda like when you demolish a house and leave some of the old foundation so it counts as a remodel?
I would rather spray-on bedliner my entire car than plastidip one part.
I would rather spray-on bedliner my entire car than plastidip one part.
Is that the same as hydrodipping?
I would rather spray-on bedliner my entire car than plastidip one part.
That would make one solid car. I usually bedliner spray rockers and inner fenders on older cars, solid, will last longer than the actual metal :v: I think they did it in Mythbuster at some point, though?
Theres 2 jeeps running around here fully rhion lined and one lineX. The difference I can tell is rhino line is a smoother, non gritty texture. The lineX really stands out. Feels like 40 grit sandpaper. At least no one can key it :v:
So is there a specific definition of "Supercar"? Everyone seems to have a different definition.
there is no proper definition because theres not one thing that defines them unlike something like a hatchback or a coupe or a convertible. its about having a flamboyant and showing off flashy car that happens to go very quick, but fairly common for those types of cars. see: ferrari 458, lamborghini gallardo, audi r8 hyper cars are much of the same but a whole tier up in performance and exclusivness. see: pagani's, aventadors, the mclaren p1/that porsche and the ferrari theferrari
Blazer Driver CV axle Power steering pump seal Alignment (shop fucked it up and didnt account for driver weight) Rear wiper Plastic trim clips need replacing... --
Got all this shit done minus the rear wiper. Been busy. Broke my ABS sensor in the hub so that gets replaced next spring. Dust shield was rubbing against my rotors, so I fixed that shit too.
Question on plastiDip.. On my motorcycle the paint is pretty faded. I've decided I want a matte black paint, so if I sand it down then apply the dip would that be any good?
Gonna look at that Lexus saturday. And i'm going to see if I can get an appointment Saturday to see this: http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/ctd/5168096315.html
Question on plastiDip.. On my motorcycle the paint is pretty faded. I've decided I want a matte black paint, so if I sand it down then apply the dip would that be any good?
The point of dipping is that you don't need to sand it donw, just spray it on the paint.

Well, my first out of state order is leaving on Saturday morning, then people will see one of my racks cruising around the Portland area. Then another one leaves soon after to the same area.
my truck developed a new problem
My truck does that too. Its not a problem its a added feature. Left something in the house and you dont wana turn the truck off? FEATURE! Infact my Truck, Suburban and my moms Saturn Vue does it. Even tho the saturn is under a recall for it....Issue of it is if you have alot of keys and shit hanging from your igniton key it might turn your ignition off on that rare blue moon.
GM ignition problems nothing to see here, move along

I used to keep my keys on a padlock with no pins for this reason, but now I don't have to my geo metro does the same thing, except in that it's because the key broke off in the ignition
the key to my 240 broke off in the hatch one night and I was stranded for 2 hours. my friend got a ride back to his car to get my spare from my house and remembered he left his keys in my locked car. was a fun night
Fuck. My 98 CRV's tranny took a dump on me. Second gear seems to have disappeared. If I tried to accelerate or select second, it's as if I'm in neutral. Anyone know if this kind of issue is repairable? Or will I need a whole new tranny?
We got a 2013+ idk Kia Optima for a rental car, ITS ABSOLUTE SHIT Reeeeeeks of cheap plastic whenever I get in, steering has no feedback, brakes are either full on or nothing (really touchy) and the gas peddle is outta a drag car or something because you got full bore at a cunt hair's movement. Aweful visibility and the car is hideous to boot. Yeah I'll gladly slap you that $1000 next time im down serj. You gotta rent that thing to me tho, keep me outta these disposable turd cars

Try flooring the shit out of it and see if it even gives a small hint that something is there. (You might feel a little push like a toddler if giving you a helping hand) You have two options if thats the case. Get a trans shop to rebuild yours as your clutches are fried or get a jukyard unit. Oh and your fluid should smell burnt and be brownish. The owner has that stupid attitude I hate. "$1000 or it goes to the crusher". Crusher cant be offering more than $150 for the scrap. Its the same attitude as "if I cant have it, no one can". You cant say youll take $1000 today only or your gonna sell it for $150... I still want it tho... but its been on craigslist forever so Ill offer $500 and thats morw than the crusher.
man CA must suck Ive never gotten less than 400$ for a scap car up in the glorious midwest.
man CA must suck Ive never gotten less than 400$ for a scap car up in the glorious midwest.
I dont actually know how much a car would bring in scrap b ut im saying its not $1k ya know?
