They're uncommon and only come with a auto. Its more or less a grand Prix coupe iirc.
[editline]24th August 2015[/editline]
I like them but wouldn't pay $3000 for one
You know they actually made coupe 5th gen Grand prix right?
1991, since the 1989 ones were just base models coupes.

And that the Reatta is not even on the same chassis either.
the only half decent Plymouths towards the end were captive imports and arguably the neon
[editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
by arguably the neon I mean there are like 4 Plymouth neons on the road today but it was a good enough idea that dodge took it over and made the second gen neons like 50x better
Found a sweet First Gen Mazda RX-7 at college yesterday

There's nothing even cool about the Neon - Plymouth always made cool cars before the mid 70s. It's a disgrace.
I would totally pick up a Reatta with a touch screen (only the first two years had the touch screen) but I can't find any for sale
Anyone have any spare Carfax/Autocheck reports they wouldn't mind using to check a car for me?
I wish i had an old green crt in my crown vic.
I want it so bad.
Plymouth Prowler, a huge fucking disappointment because it's a pseudo hot rod with a fucking weak v6. also was discontinued about 13 or 14 years ago, I think it came out in the late 90s
It could have set a land speed record for all I care, it's hideous.
getting rid of the bumpers is a big improvement though

The first year Prowler came with the same engine as the Chrysler Town & Country (lol), but the last three years had a different engine that put out more power (253hp) and could get from 0 to 60 in just under six seconds.
Still pretty bad for a 'hot rod', but a respectable amount of go fast vroom vroom for a sports car.
just a scrape over 200hp from a 3.5 litre v6 isnt that good
As someone who drives a 200hp-ish v6, I can confirm.
Dont get it.

253 horses and 5. whatever seconds is still pretty miserable
It's a 2800lb car. That's plenty of power. If a 2000lb Honda with 170hp is good, then it's good.
Hondas are slow too dude
[editline]25th August 2015[/editline]
it's supposed to be a hot rod, not an econobox

Okay, sporty. The econobox Honda's are 100-127HP, which yeah, suck.
253 horses and 5. whatever seconds is still pretty miserable
5.9 seconds is hardly miserable. It's roughly equivalent to other same-year cars in the same price bracket.
For the same year cars:
A S2000 was about the same price, yet despite being smaller it weighed the same as Prowler. Slightly faster because the Prowler has a horrible Chrysler autotragic slushbox sourced from VW.
A Mustang GT was cheaper and faster but had rear suspension from a horseless carriage.
A Porsche Boxster was both slower and more expensive, though it at least didn't have the Chrysler PlaySkool plastic dashboard. The RX-7 was likewise more expensive but slightly faster.
The only real outlier was the crazy Lancer Evo.
all unmodified hondas are slow in the straights, some hondas just corner nice. prowlers don't corner

An interesting thing about this car. The reason for the lack of calipers is actually because it possibly had fake brake disks put infront of the real ones because it was some weird car trend in the early 2000's. Wasn't ever really confirmed. Just going off what people who seen the car in person said.

nothing wrong with live axles idgaf what tuner dweebs think there's a perfectly good reason for them (they hook up better in drag races because the camber doesn't change when they squat under load)
the boxster is a lawyer's car not a driver's car
the rx-7 is stupid and weird and shouldn't be compared to anything

Arguably the neon is still terrible with 2005 models only being worth $3000 tops in great condition for some unknown reason. I almost want to say a Neon with low miles would be a really good buy but then I remember the PT Cruiser.

The only Neon worth buying is the SRT-4. Almost all the others will just be a generic econobox, with the added touch of being a complete death trap; the bog standard Neon shares driver fatality rates similar to boyracer cars like the Acura RSX and Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Where are you roughly at so I can get a general quote to ship this stuff. Be all end all I can take the seat covers off I think and ship it that way to save cash.

It's beautiful. I think it was a great homage to an old school 60s/70s style hotrod - but the engine made it terrible. I test drove one, my god... it felt so economical.
But I don't know why - I love everything about it and it is actually my favorite car in existance, but I have never had any luck finding one for under $30k. I would totally have one with the matching trailer though.
So, heard on the radio our valley has a Mopar Club, and their annual meet-up/Cruise-in/Car-show is this weekend, the 29th. Hm.. I wonder if they want to see my boring 'stock' 3.5 AWD. Haha.
At least it's Torred which is supposedly a rare color for that particular car and a 4.10 rear which is also a fairly rare option for the 3.5.
Fuck it, I'm going, even if it's just to go with my camera and drool at the other Mopar Guys with cooler older cars. Anybody else in the Roanoke area want to go?
I got some helmetcam video of my latest trail dirtbiking trip in the black hills, if anyone's interested Ill post some. Otherwise its not worth the trouble of uploading.

I think they could have very easily looked a lot cooler than they do. But they look really misshapen to me.

The Neon ACR is a good buy too. Comes with factory koni adjustable suspension.
Check out what I found

Apparently the dude only wants around 1500 for it and it runs and drives and all the electricals work. My friends and I are gonna chip in and buy it if the test drive tomorrow goes well, then stock it with booze and get temporary tags and drive it down to the nearest college town to surprise my girlfriend. From there we may just show some college kids how we fuckin party in SD
