Got my oil analysis back from Blackstone Labs- they still sent it despite my card being declined, I need to make sure they get their money. [t]http://i.imgur.com/5qpWUuA.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ti5ojaa.png[/t] I recommend them, they send you a kit for free to get the sample, and testing is $25. glad to know my shit is healthy! I've got 180+k on my EJ205, gets floored every day and still kickin'. Rotella 5w40 is all I've ever used in my subarus, it's fantastic.

Both cars burn plenty of oil between oil changes and I toss a little overpriced plain gear oil(Lucas) in to thicken it up some. I've heard nothing but endlessly good things about Blackstone.
I really doubt I have issues with the valves, other than that one that didn't want to come out without sanding. The motor had like 215,000 miles on it and still didn't burn out. However, it has a shit ton caked above the lifters. I'm going to be inspecting the piston rings when I get home. From what I remember, the two rings at the top of my pistons are supposed to have the same gap. One of them is way larger in cap then the other. The oil ring is also stiff as fuck. In other news, I updated my YouTube's channel art to reflect cars. When I'm done tearing down the engine, I'll make a new video of the tare down.
So, a local guy down the street from where I work has an '05 Mustang GT for sale with 17k miles he claims. It is advertised as a supercharged 4.8L V6 with a six speed factory transmission with $18k worth of aftermarket parts. He wants $17k for it. He actually got offended I walked away the moment I saw the sticker on his window saying all of that.
I had a dream I had a phone call with serj. We talked mopars and it was weird, then he yelled at me to put a slant 6 in my dads race car before slamming the phone. The hell is wrong with me.
And im still mad. Lol best dream ever.

I don't think I've ever seen a car that looks that intimidating without the front fascia. And now I want to build a Fury Road Satellite... Caged industrial floodlights for headlights, cut off the windshield frame & install a boat windshield, like that one truck from Road Warrior.
Get it, sell it in Norway, then buy like five more of what you get for it in Norway.
What was it? The ad was deleted.
What was it? The ad was deleted.
A pretty clean '54 Bel Air with a really bad interior job.

For those who haven't seen Road Warrior (see it!), this is what it looks like: I can imagine all sorts of classic cars it would look great on.
i once had a dream that ratings were back on sh also, what do you guys think about hyundai velosters? been thinking about getting one of those at some point
if your 6ft or taller it's very hard to sit in the back seat.
A pretty clean '54 Bel Air with a really bad interior job.
For $3k
Anyone know where to get rubberized fabric for bike seats? All I can find is vinyl which is slippery as hell.
Anyone know where to get rubberized fabric for bike seats? Works real good to hold car seats still and its vrry thick and durable.
i once had a dream that ratings were back on sh also, what do you guys think about hyundai velosters? been thinking about getting one of those at some point
Ugly as hell
Ugly as hell
Also one of the slower cars in that price point IIRC. 130hp or something. [editline]17th September 2015[/editline] One of our clients came by the shop today. We're restoring an adirondack Guide Boat for him, and he's selling a very successful Halon fire suppression company that he owns, and is getting rid of a lot of his stuff. He is a VW guy for sure, has a few porsches and some stuff, but he asked us if we have a need for his pickup truck. I'm not sure if the offer was to give it to us, or sell it. We get given a lot of stuff actually so it's not weird. But I didn't know he asked that of my dad and he said he had no need of it. Now I have to contact him and ask if I could buy it off him. What he has is a 60's VW pickup that I've seen before. He delivered the boat on it. It is plagued with some holes in the foor, rust, etc... but it has the coolest appeal to it. It has three fold down tailgates basically - the bedsides fold over, and the back folds over and it's a 10' long bed. It would be so perfect for business... It looks like a Samba bus with a truck bed basically. It's one of these:

My parents had one of those many years ago. Super shallow load bed because the engine is right there in the back but it essentially is a VW Bus with the back cut off. Dead simple to work on, dangerous to drive, make sure you check the shift bushings and the steering.
reluctantly flipped my r33 gtr wheels because someone made me a really good offer I couldn't refuse, so this is happening. (in 2-3 months when they arrive from japland). [t]http://i.imgur.com/pziIHhD.jpg[/t] and yes they will fit without camber or a fender roll. will probably end up lowering it a little at some point though lol.
Man.. when you just ain't got room for more projects, but there's good projects for sale. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-GT-R-GTR-/151806243614?forcerrptr=true&hash=item23585b731e&item=151806243614#viTabs_0

The guy who sold me and my friend the dune buggy had originally tore it apart because he thought the transmission was bad. After we put it all together it was shifting shitty and I found out it was because there was no shifter bushing. I got one and stuck it on, and it works perfect now. I was talking to the old owner once and I just had to casually mention that a $7.50 part was the reason he sold us his dune buggy for $425.
Good to know. Well we have to see if I go get the truck or not. If its too much more expensive than free its not worth anything to me. The flip down panels are rusty and theres some holes in the floorpans and such. Itd be a fun project but not much investment that id put into it.
Today I walked by a garage with an E30 within on stilts with no wheels or suspension. I'll be checking on it very carefully to make sure it's getting slammed. I may even help out. With a sledgehammer and stuff.
My sister has a problem with her car, the clutch is squeeking mad and the clutch pedal has gotten hard. What do you guys think might be the cause ? Note: clutch slave cylinder and fluid was replaced about 5 months ago

Hmm what cars should i look at, i'm driving diesels for 10 years now and i'm tired of them(also alot of road tax here in Belgium for a diesel nowadays) Been looking at every model with a VR6 in it,too much km's and too old.I really want someting fun. Japanese cars are also welcome, even french (clio sport) My budget is under 10k € , fuel usage is not a problem.
