I'd give my left nut and right kidney for a flat lot to wrench on my car. The flattest spot on my property isn't even flat enough to do an oil change. Atleast where I don't care if I drop some ATF fluid on pavement. Can't really park on top of sewer main which is the only actually flat spot on my property.
I do all my wrenching in the road, and just throw down some oil dri if I spill anything
Things wrong with 2010 Honda Civic ex-l: Passenger side plastic shit squeaks and pops thanks to a fender bender a year or two ago(my main squeeze at the time grabbed my leg((dick)) in what was basically the lunch time rush for where I live, slid right underneath a lifted 80's ferd truck and crushed the entire front end of the car) I'm pretty anal about it, so she's just perfect. Things wrong with '67 Mustang Leaky transmission Gets fucking H A W T when out and about during the afternoon Wandering power steering Awful paint job(comes off onto your rag when you wipe off the car) Even fuckier is the body work Ye 50 year old interior
1994 Chevy Suburban 1500 4X4 Acuator is not fully engauging Rear HVAC will not get cool. 1992 Chevy Silverado 1500 Alignment I could fill this entire page if I still had my volkswagens.... Its diffrent now I CAN FIX EVERYTHING THAT GOES WRONG WITHOUT REMOVING A BUMPER [sp]I still want my audi back ;_;[/sp]
We'll see if I stay. If this thread attracts the same ignorance I saw before then I'm out again.
What ignorance. The only issues we have here is if someone mentions a motorcycle and ricing
It's finally over (almost)! Just put down a deposit on a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, signing the docs and bringing it home Monday! And he didn't even ask for selfies!
road draft breathers apply a vacuum via the venturi effect. same principle carburetors work on
I suppose but only if you're moving at speed and only if you create an actual road draft breather, ghetto catch can method with some JB Weld, vacuum fittings and a plastic bottle with some dish scrubbers jammed in it would be much more efficient.
$750-$1200 including sourcing and buying parts or just for the work?
About $350 to $400 for parts if you source them yourself and scavenge the junkyard for pedal assemblies and what not. I'd probably budget around 5-8 hours of shop time for $80-100 an hour. If you can find a cool shop or quality tuner garage you can probably get that knocked way down due to people being competent at Hondas.
Well, it's a NA 2.5L Dodge with TBI. So it's a single injector. I'll look into the fuel regulator stuff, but as an added note, the car seams to smell very rich at idle.
Yep, you have the awesome body feed TBI style injector just like my DPFI Civic has two of. Expect to special order seals and if you remove or have removed the injector expect your seals to be bad.
2006 Mazda3: • Rusty (but what else do you expect from a Mazda?) • Handbrake is on passenger's side so you can rub your passenger's thigh and spill the drinks in the cupholder • Dashboard over the glove box is misshapen from melting in the sun • Clutch went from working fine to not grabbing at all overnight, needs to be replaced • Needs new head gasket • No factory AUX jack means I have to use cheap adapters from eBay that break every six months • Burn holes in the driver's seat • Gotta hold nozzle halfway out otherwise it won't pump gas • Crappy, peeling paint job on the wheels • Metal shift knob is either scalding hot or freezing cold • Low and stiff, perfect for our shitty NY roads • Needs new AC compressor, kinda works but rattles a lot Still better than the '08 Kia Spectra5 that I'm driving while the clutch and head gasket get replaced: • Driver's side door only opens from outside • Stereo stuck at full volume • Speaker on passenger's side is water damaged, sounds absolutely awful • Various pieces of exterior trim falling off • Smells like cigars, dog hair, and curdled milk • Burn holes everywhere • Two outlets, neither of which work • Windshield weather stripping likes to dislodge itself • Entire car shakes violently above 60mph • Hatch is stuck closed, handle is broken • Gas pedal has significant dead zone • Squeeky brakes • Curb rash on all four tiny wheels • Sun visor falls down sometimes when you hit a bump • Horribly slow automatic transmission
2008 Mazda 3 here. Got none of those yet, aside from the poor handbrake placement. (Aux jack was standard by the time I got mine) What it does have: Shitty window motors: -Windows stick if left up too long. -Forget about rolling down 2 windows at once if they've been left up for any time at all. -Countless amounts of change lost to the inside of my car thanks to weird cupholder lid design. -Steering Wheel grip material is starting to fall apart.
I don't get why Arabian Sheiks and IT millionaires buys Ferraris and Lambos and Bugattis. If they really want to spend money, they should buy a 20 year old Supra. It's missing the dash panel that covers the shifter and handbrake. It costs fucking £160!! I can't find any on eBay, so eventually I'll have to pay the 160 pounds to get a piece of 20 year old plastic. http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota-838.html
well it's just plastic... you don't need it.
oh i need it [t]http://jocksbilimport.dk/product-images/37/28/IMG_5272.JPG[/t]
Make your own out of a nice wood. Get Serj to do it.
oh i need it [t]http://jocksbilimport.dk/product-images/37/28/IMG_5272.JPG[/t]
Get a 3D printer instead
If its mk4 supra related, it may as well be made of gold
Came across my first car at work with a fully tinted windshield! Wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the big tear where the service sticker was. It wasn't too dark but it was tint on the windshield and that's illegal here, probably like that in many places in the world. Are there any states in the US that allow dark tint on the windshield?
oh i need it [t]http://jocksbilimport.dk/product-images/37/28/IMG_5272.JPG[/t]
nah it's fine. don't need it.

A little late to the party on "whats wrong with my car" so here goes anyway: -Front bumper damage -left fender dented and dinged -same with right fender -and the hood but right at the forward lip -Needs all new bushings minus front left lca and radius arms -leather seats from acura cl dont color match and are cracked -dash gauge cluster and hvac control bezel cracked at mid vents -carpet is still gross [sp]because scummy kids of last owner[/sp] -cv axles are loose at the input -trans has strange shifting habbits -need new ac condensor (old one strains compressor slightly) -evap valve for ac may need adjustment and squeals randomly -power antenna failed before ownership; replaced with FORD antenna, cant pull stations now -slight vibration from 35mph up (bad balence of tire bubble? Tires are all basically new and show no signs) -warped front drivers trap-rotor hub; causes brake pulsing. (Hub are nearly impossable to get, gonna have to ebay it) -Not all lights are LED [sp]yet[/sp] -Engine not a C32 or J35 -brakes not from NSX -does not do science things at 88mph
oh i need it [t]http://jocksbilimport.dk/product-images/37/28/IMG_5272.JPG[/t]
it's not 'missing a dash panel' it's been lightened it's all in how you sell it to yourself, now it's faster
Got a job offer to go work out of state (I live in Louisiana, job is in Georgia) for 3 years. I'm currently making $14/hour, and I have to see how much they are offering, but from what I've heard, it's gonna be $25+/hour AND per-diem pay. I'm not too excited about going out of state for so long, but $52,000/year minimum for 3 years means I could sell my 'Stang and get a new one, or a GT500. This is a tough decision.
New one. The IRS is worth it and the 5.0 can be made just as powerful as the GT500 with little effort. [editline]4th August 2015[/editline] My Miata fever is worsening, guys. I saw the most gorgeous NA on the way to work today. It was so clean and shiny and mint condition.
Aye, this thing runs like a top. I can't wait to finish the body and paint work and get it on the road again
Just thinking about your straight 6 makes me wish I had gotten a 280ZX instead. Fuck the VG30E. Dumbest oil filter placement I've ever seen, and I won't even talk about the clutch fan slapped on the water pump pulley. On the bright side the car yells at me when I leave my headlights on Here's my money pit [t]http://i.imgur.com/neT8p0B.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/gxRMYKT.jpg[/t] Don't worry, I am in the process of acquiring factory wheels for her. Doing pads and rotors tonight, hopefully then the wheel stops jerking from side to side under braking and veering madly to the right sometimes. Front left caliper likes to freeze up sometimes though, but we'll go from there.

You'd think the rear window would have the same rules as the rear side windows... It's arguably one of the main windows you'll be looking out of.
whats wrong with the 98 lesabre o2 sensor heater forces the service engine light on (I bought a new sensor today) Vinyl trim on read passenger door window is missing, so is weatherproofing between the bottom of the window and the metal top of the door. The steering brake petal is very sensitive and I sometimes turn it on by accident when I'm getting in or out of my car. I've recently heard a grinding which I believe to be the transmission. Idk if it's something I messed up when doing the pan gasket+filter or if I left a screw in there. (There is, to date, 1 screw missing from the job; I had to find a replacement) i drove it a good couple miles as it was overheating and not long after whats wrong with the 04 lancer front right control arm is bent left strut is banging into side of wheel well right tire is scraping against inside of wheel well several interior things including a broken glove compartment latch which I temporarily fixed Brand new exhaust (cherry bomb glass pack right under the engine, flexpipe&cat, tip) < It's stupid loud for only a little more power
