Woo, next paycheck I've got enough dosh to get Heinous control arms, KY Gas-a-just struts&shocks, and an Addco front sway bar! Next after that is a new rear end (3.23 or 3.55 trac-lok), and then I can finally start on horsepower.
I like 6" resanators. Counts as a muffler :)

Make sure you have a nice long pry bar when you put the control arms in. I had a 12 inch flathead screwdriver and by the end of it I was ready to push my car off a cliff.

I'll double check with ADTR Chris to make sure I've got all I need. Nice thing is I'm only about 15 minutes from him so I can just do local pickup on all parts orders and save the shipping.
Oh nice. Tell him thanks for me, these things are great. I can now aggressively take corners at 40mph with next to no body roll and no jiggly wiggling.
I have found an abomination.
Other than the dumb paint job, it looks fine to me.
Man, this caster. It's basically already a race car
[t]http://puu.sh/kloMU.jpg[/t]
Also I changed my brakes, they were a little worn
[t]http://puu.sh/kloQy.jpg[/t]
Caliper was stuck on one side and I ordered new parts in June... they arrived yesterday.

Also here's my boss' brother's car:

So while the Tracker is in the shop I decided to get ready to tackle Plan B, which is probably partly why the clutch gave out so soon: I push start this car a lot.
If you have a Samurai, you know of the "Clicky Starter" issue. Same applies on all Trackers with the first generation chassis. Ignition switch doesn't deliver enough kick to overcome dirty contacts in the solenoid. The fix is a 30A relay and fuse you can buy as a kit or build for about $8.

Meanwhile I'm reminding myself why the hell I didn't sell this car years ago and get a Delica.
Oh right. A Fucking '94 costs about $8000 around these parts.

Also, only do the top or the bottom at a time. Don't take off both at the same time. Also make sure you don't install them upside down and can't get access to the zerk fittings...
I have a 2013 Civic Si, the non-nav version... I want to install a touchscreen GPS stereo and eventually attach my subs and amp to it. Do you guys have any recommendations on which stereo to get? I'd take it somewhere to have everything installed.
Also, would installing this affect the existing screen where all of my gas mileage and other car info is? I use that information.
I was thinking of getting this (I have an amp already)

Since you live in Canada have you ever thought of looking at some of the JDM imported Pajeros? I know they're a little spendy but you at least get a low mile example for your money not to mention one of the turbo diesel ones. I've never seen those Delicas before, are they basically just a small mini van on the Pajero/Montero platform?
fucking hell, another RX7 that I'd been interested in but felt was overpriced just dropped from $5500 to $3500. and I still haven't recouped from blowing cash fixing the civic and the vacation shit.
Im about ready to start asking family members for a loan ;_;

Speaking of RX7... I read recently Mazda is bringing back the Wenkel engine. RX9 anyone? $20 says it spins to 15000rpm with no torque, as usual. :v:

No, Mazda said they were continuing to work on developing a rotary engine and are trying to make it meet emissions standards.
It's the same as any other company's R&D. These rumors are constantly popping up, this is nothing new. Mazda is going to have to do a crap ton of engineering to get it to pass emissions, be remotely efficient, and be worthwhile.
It makes more sense to use the rotary as an electrical generator for an electric car.
Without forced induction, RX7 and RX8 had low power and very little torque man. RX8 is somewhere in the 7-8 second range for its 0-60 time I believe.

I didn't say they were torque and power monsters? I said it's yet another rumor about a car with its odds against it.
The rotary engine is an R&D project, not something they're pumping all of their resources into to bring the RX sports car line back for a limited audience who doesn't mind the additional maintenance and poor fuel economy

How can you be bored having an engine rebuild project every 30,000 miles?

Shit. Buy Chrysler. I had that after a week!
Opinions on the p90d?
They're just boring cars.
That's an opinion, and you're welcome to it, as I am mine in saying that I think wankel engines are very interesting and would like to own one some day.
Regardless, it doesn't validate any of the rumors. They constantly pop up. Usually once a year, if not even sooner, we hear "Mazda is bringing the RX and rotary back!"

I enjoy power and torque.
And soon I'll have about 420bhp of that.
Hell, I'm happy with 250ish in all honesty. It's the nice little mix of 'I still don't trust my left foot' and 'Hey. What happens if I want to jump in front of this car and braaaaah' without getting my rear bumper destroyed Kevin Harvick style.
there is a facebook group called cars modified in ways that dumbfound...

Holy shit delete that headunit's page from your history!!!!!!!!
You're going to want an Android Auto or Apple Carplay unit if you truly want something worth a shit and you have a smartphone;
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-69FgDyrrwPc/p_113DDX9702/Kenwood-DDX9702S.html
That's my personal favorite currently. Absolute gem. It makes that 'thing' you're looking at look like a Russian Lada in new century.
For touchscreens if it isn't Clarion, Kenwood, Pioneer, or Alpine, it isn't worth looking at. All the others are slow, clunky, lack features, and generally just suck. Especially if you want GPS.
If you *don't* have a smartphone, consider Kenwood, because it runs Garmin software;
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DNX572B/Kenwood-DNX572BH.html?search=dnx572bh&skipvs=T
Clarion also makes a good unit w/ GPS built in, too. Not a fan of Pioneer or Alpine for that.
If you're anywhere near WI I'd be happy to get you in at my shop, lol!
Also.. skip that POS firehazard BOSS audio wiring kit.
This one's inexpensive and much better, being actual copper and actual AWG.

The Rockford sub/box you posted is a good little setup. Make sure your amp is the right size and rock on.
Pulling the factory radio on that specific trim won't affect your 'top of dash' info screen, minus if it shows station info and the lot.
