Holy shit delete that headunit's page from your history!!!!!!!! You're going to want an Android Auto or Apple Carplay unit if you truly want something worth a shit and you have a smartphone; http://www.crutchfield.com/S-69FgDyrrwPc/p_113DDX9702/Kenwood-DDX9702S.html That's my personal favorite currently. Absolute gem. It makes that 'thing' you're looking at look like a Russian Lada in new century. For touchscreens if it isn't Clarion, Kenwood, Pioneer, or Alpine, it isn't worth looking at. All the others are slow, clunky, lack features, and generally just suck. Especially if you want GPS. If you *don't* have a smartphone, consider Kenwood, because it runs Garmin software; http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DNX572B/Kenwood-DNX572BH.html?search=dnx572bh&skipvs=T Clarion also makes a good unit w/ GPS built in, too. Not a fan of Pioneer or Alpine for that. If you're anywhere near WI I'd be happy to get you in at my shop, lol! Also.. skip that POS firehazard BOSS audio wiring kit. This one's inexpensive and much better, being actual copper and actual AWG. http://www.amazon.com/Kicker-09DCK8-Amplifier-2-Channel-Interconnects/dp/B001RNNY9S The Rockford sub/box you posted is a good little setup. Make sure your amp is the right size and rock on. Pulling the factory radio on that specific trim won't affect your 'top of dash' info screen, minus if it shows station info and the lot.
o great and wise clutch My friends want a double din unit for the rukkus bus that plays dvds. It will be mounted above and behind the drivers seat, so him being distracted is not a concern. Are there any in existence that allow dvd playback while the car is moving?
Yup! All of them. On Kenwoods you just need to ground the E-brake. On Pioneers you use a quick little transistor bypass triggered by the remote wire to ground the ebrake wire after the unit powers on; http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-DIYBypass-All-AVH-Pioneer/dp/B00EZP84O0 On Alpines you need to do a song and dance between 2 wires, but the Pac TR-7 does that for you; http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Video-Bypass-Trigger-Output/dp/B00UF364C0/ref=sr_1_2?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1443062328&sr=1-2&keywords=pac+tr7 Some older Pioneer units need a weird thing where you move the mute wire to a different pin slot, but don't much have to worry about that unless you're looking at an old one, like 7 years or so. Then all you've got to do is use the audio/video out to run it on some more screens!
What would you suggest as a cheaper end dvd head unit? Im not talking BOSS levels of cheap, but we dont need any other fancy shit, except maybe a remote.
I'm in the market for a simple head unit myself with an AUX jack and not too flashy. I like to keep the radio stock but my CD player started crapping out. Also has to be easy to add/remove cause I can only park the car in public lots, no garage or driveway. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2743598
Bird, Look into the Pioneer AVH270, maybe. That's going for about $200. Pretty solid budget unit IMO. Could maybe get away with a Jensen level of quality, but that's about as low as I'd ever consider going. Xanadu if you're looking to bump up to aftermarket and really only digging aux something as simple as the DEH150 from Pioneer would work. Like $55 online most places. A universal pocket and subaru harness that it'd be an easy install. Faceplate is removable, so just keep that off for parking. I'm a big fan of Kenwood's higher level units this year, though. The face is much less flashy, and thus I've found people like it's look. Hell, the marine counterpart might even match your factory radio; http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-KMR-D562BT-Marine-MP3-Player/dp/B00QH8581U/ref=sr_1_2?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1443064475&sr=1-2&keywords=kenwood+562
fucking hell, another RX7 that I'd been interested in but felt was overpriced just dropped from $5500 to $3500. and I still haven't recouped from blowing cash fixing the civic and the vacation shit. Im about ready to start asking family members for a loan ;_;
link me so I can buy it and do a burnout at your house I really wanna sell half my shit and buy a fd before they skyrocket in price even more.
I wish I had more money that I could put into my cars. I also wish I had a lift. I'd work on my cars so much more if I had one. I just hate crawling on the ground in the Texas heat.

This is what it'd be replacing... [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7KEeC7S.jpg[/img_thumb]
You can indeed, but you lose the removable faceplate option. I'm a fan of the Kenwood 501; http://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/receiver/dpx501bt/ And Pioneer 720, too http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/FH-X720BT
Who plays Forza 6???????? ??????????? ??
Who plays Forza 6???????? ??????????? ??
I will be when I get paid next. Did they allow you to move custom cars over from 5? Otherwise I have to make all the vinyls for the hoonicorn again...
I don't know. Last time I played was Forza 4. To be honest, not much has really changed, except the super sensitive brake pedal. I lock the wheels in pretty much every corner in every car!
if they'd just release a pc version I'd play the hell out of it. I'm not interested in anything else on the platform so I'm not spending $400 for one game
Is F6 good? I played the demo and it was pretty good, but FM5 chapped my ass enough that Fm6 isn't an instant buy.
That amazing feeling when you work on your car's brakes/suspension and you don't encounter a stuck/seized bolt during the repair. [editline]24th September 2015[/editline] F6 is just all need for speed boring hypercar bullshit. F4 is still the best in my opinion. More regular cars dammit!
Went to the drag strip for the first time last night. Ran two 9.7 in the 1/8 with my '07 Charger Pursuit. I just mashed the pedal every time. Typically spun the first 60'. Was pretty fun. Pretty sure I had the highest gears there, my 3.06 year was no match! I saw a turbo big block Mustang, a 1982 Dodge Charger with a big block, and a Pontiac G8 from hell. The G8 was keeping up with a supercharged Camaro, Turbo Camaro, Turbo Mustang. The G8 was NA and keeping up with turbo blocks... My friends single cab diesel was running around 8.8 with all four wheels spinning all the way through 1st and 2nd...

I will be at sixflags with a friend from a local company, I believe the entire topic all day would be cars anyway. Free admission of course :)

With that sub, what should it ultimately be? I'm not a car stereo expert by any means. That head unit is a little out of my price range. I was hoping for under $300. (I have seen decent ones in friend's cars)
