Heh, don't worry It seems like EVERYTHING is this weekend anyway. A Whole lot of car shows, casy mustgraves home town hang, afew charity events, afew airplane stuff events and more car showes. Weather is just fucking perfect for any and everything.
I wish I could go to a car show or something this weekend, but Pope Francis has other plans. Time to play in the street while being a drunk idiot
I don't know. Last time I played was Forza 4. To be honest, not much has really changed, except the super sensitive brake pedal. I lock the wheels in pretty much every corner in every car!
Last one for me was F3... Haha. [editline]24th September 2015[/editline] I still play it, mind you.
I have to check what wattage my amp is. With that sub, what should it ultimately be? I'm not a car stereo expert by any means. That head unit is a little out of my price range. I was hoping for under $300. (I have seen decent ones in friend's cars)
Ultimately you'd want an amp that does 200w rms @ 4 ohms if you chose the 200w version, or 400w rms @ 4 ohms if you chose the 400w version. Under $300 is an OK budget for a good middle of the road touchscreen, probably the Pioneer AVH2700BS or the Kenwood DDX372 or DDX672. Neither are GPS, but anything sub-$500 for GPS indash units is going to be trash, used, or a couple models years old and the maps are out of date anyways. The module is 5 pronged, the plug is 6 pronged... But the kicker is that only 4 peongs have wires in them. This is some hoodrat shitty fix for something. Going to have to cut and rewire the plug. Not happy.
What's that on, your Blazer? Yesterday me and my buddy finished our 3rd Cavalier for the summer. His green Z24 got minor work to keep running, then he got this black Z with a blown engine, and a tan Z with a rotted subframe, leaky gas line, etc. Had to do tons of work.. brakes on all 3, black got an entirely new interior and front bumper, plus engine. Black and tan had a ton of ghetto wiring to fix, stereo ghetto-ness, etc. Tan got a new horn ring in the column that was broken, both needed new horns. Tan had some damaged wires from a front end collision. They're quite the lineup of Z24s now, lol. Worth it to keep the Z's on the road :D
I figured every z24 in the world was in a junkyard by now
If all the 16 year old drivers who wind the rev-happy 2.4DOHC up then slam it into 2nd gear and pulverize the trans had anything to say about it, they would be. And if that doesn't happen they seem to be chomping at the bit to burn the car to the ground with shoddy electrical modifications.
What's that on, your Blazer?
Friend's early 90's honda. Complete shitbox. I've found a lot of electrical issues with it and really dont know where to start. Told him to sell it for $1200, take his $500 loss, and buy a nice $4000 vehicle
I cant even begin to tell you the electrical horrors of rewiring the bus. Im extremely surprised I only got a jolt of 120v once during the project.
If you ever look at a second gen dodge and the quad cab door doesn't open, then you pretty much have an extended cab with useless door handles [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile Uploads/image_zpssn4t52rr.jpg[/thumb] This was siezed on so bad, we had to cut the entire door around it to get it out and then cut the actual latch mechinism in half. Got a rust free door on now tho, same with the passenger door. They are both silver but its sorta different so they're 20 footers for now I got some single stage color match paint in a liter, to the painting expert guys do you think just for now spraying over the existing paint so it somewhat matches would be fine? I got two mint front fenders I'd like to put on but they are green so I was thinking a quick coat of silver shouldn't make them stick out as bad.
So are there any good cars under $5000 that a really tall car enthusiast would fit in? I'll be getting a Mercury Sable pretty soon that I fit in well enough but it is in horrible condition and at this point I think I'd be better off saving up money for a better car than putting any money into it.
Many, many. What sort of cars do you like? Sporty and fun coupes, luxurious saloons, fast straight line muscle? And well.. how tall is really tall?

Theres lots out there and its very bland to ask whats available for $5k. I bought both my cars combined for $4,000.

I mean, I like all cars, even cars that many would consider ugly, but Japanese cars are my main preference, I guess I prefer handling over pure power (not saying non-Japanese cars can't handle well). For some reason during a lot of turns, I hear a loud squeaking sound which could just be the old suspension, and it also shakes pretty badly, especially at highway speeds. This was caused by my brother getting a flat then driving on the spare tire for a long time. Plus the tires are incredibly old. It's really a piece of shit but it is my only option.

So I gave up on installing my defa car alarm last week. So tonight, someone went through the trouble of prying open my car door and unlock it, but gave up and left with nothing when they got the radio stuck by pushing it into the dashboard. In the backseat I had coilovers, headlights, paint and tools that probably adds up to more than my car is worth. I think I'll install it today :v: [editline]25th September 2015[/editline]
So are there any good cars under $5000 that a really tall car enthusiast would fit in? Really? I actually also really like BMWs, I love E30s but I do really like the rest as well.
I'd love myself some e30, but they are getting really expensive here.

04+ charger/chrysler 300/magnum have plenty of space and would be around $5000. I payed $5500 for a loaded black hemi 300C with 150k km (75k miles?) I had an 05 STI and I fit snug in that too, but for your budget you may be limited to a base model. Old XJ jeep cherokees (88-2002?) are small with lots of interior space and $5000 with get you a real nice one. Stay away from all Hyundai's (haven't fit in a single one ever), certain Hondas, compact mazdas, basically most compact cars bar some exceptions. I just dont have good luck with them, not quite as tall as you being 6'4 but in the same ballpark.

Don't avoid sunroof cars with this one, all old S-Classes have them. They only eat 2 inches of space anyway, and the seats have 8 ways of power adjustability with power headrests.

Today I got beside her in town at a redlight. She would never look over at me but I knew it was on, light turned green and we both layed down rubber until we meet traffic ahead and she abruptly turned right. I meet her again about 30min after that heading in the opposite direction both of us stoped at a red light with our backs to each other. Had a little rev party in the middle of town :V. Did some whoopiedo's to get to were she was going, caught up and said.. hello... and she was thoughly amazed at how my little halfton can beat her 3/4 ton everytime. Sure the conrod bearings were fucked and the head was cracked, but it's possible to find a new m20 for less than 5000kr.

Fun fact: The Audi A5 costs less than a Ford Focus RS in Canada. Yay, exchange rates.
is this an ok place for a car purchase suggestion? [editline]26th September 2015[/editline] alright so in a few weeks i'm flying out to san antonio to visit some family and my dad wants to buy me a car while i'm there. i'm thinking about going for a 2005 volvo s40 2.4i but i'm a bit worried that the upkeep costs will be expensive. so far i've heard mostly good but a little bit bad, and it seems like the 2005 s40 is pretty good when it comes to upkeep costs but i'm not completely sure.
