is this an ok place for a car purchase suggestion? [editline]26th September 2015[/editline] alright so in a few weeks i'm flying out to san antonio to visit some family and my dad wants to buy me a car while i'm there. i'm thinking about going for a 2005 volvo s40 2.4i but i'm a bit worried that the upkeep costs will be expensive. so far i've heard mostly good but a little bit bad, and it seems like the 2005 s40 is pretty good when it comes to upkeep costs but i'm not completely sure.
Volvos are god, but their worshippers say that the S40 isn't a real one...
I ordered a Racing Beat muffler + con pipe today yuuuuuss
Volvos are god, but their worshippers say that the S40 isn't a real one...
My dad is trying to tell me that Volvo is off the table because I "dont know what [im] getting into" which is a little bit confusing to me. All the reviews and forum posts that i've read have said this is a great car and is very unlikely to cause me any trouble.
I still want a good lemon racing game with variety, customization, and tuning that includes removing body panels to save weight and zip tying a radiator in to pass tech. I don't like driving zippy factory perfect slot cars in circles. [editline]24th September 2015[/editline] Basically I want Roadkill: the Game
I really just want My Summer Car to be out already. I know there's a drag strip in it, not sure about other types of racing.

People love American built things, and frown when stretched eyed people make stuff cheaply and crapyer than we would have and that moto sometimes stands to all imports to thoes people. I wouldn't even rate a Volvo as unkillible. They are just like every other vehicle on the market today and forever will be. Every vehicle has a averaged out death mileage. What matters is how many people has owned the vehicle, how they drove it and did they do regular service. That's why I fell volvos are acculy halfway descent used cars. Because you hardly ever see the original owner or second owner going down the road giving it the beans. Also brings up if more people flock to certain things because XYZ then typically you will approach said vehicle and blowing it up bigger than it acculy is and in reality that small ticking noise you think is a lifter is bottom end knock because the owner put in gear oil to reduce the noise so a fanboy can quickly scoop it up and think nothing of it. [editline]hxhvv[/editline] I've drank alittle... I got turned down on my [del]Netflix[/del] roadkill and chill.
Volvos are god, but their worshippers say that the S40 isn't a real one...
That's because the first generation S and V40 is basically a Mitsubishi Carisma with a Volvo emblem

Great green. I love it. Is anyone in Ohio that can go save this poor thing before it gets cut up? http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=326001 It's only $1,000 surely someone wants it.

[editline]26th September 2015[/editline] right now i'm looking at one on a used car lot for $2995 but i can definitely bring it down. Any newer volvo with over 100k is guaranteed to have the following: -Destroyed, cracked, and ripped leather/plastic anything -horrible electrical faults
Any newer volvo with over 100k is guaranteed to have the following: -Destroyed, cracked, and ripped leather/plastic anything -horrible electrical faults
leather is cracked and kinda eugh, but i don't mind that honestly. not sure about the electric faults though, i'll have it checked with a mechanic.
Holy shit, I never knew Saab have been making cars lately.......
They made like one batch of 9-3 sedans, that's all.
nope
There are 6 wires in THE ENTIRE CAR, and likely his ignition relay is fucked, it's a simple fix right under the hood, one screw, pull off 4 wire connectors, attach four new ones and be done. It's not like an electrical issue on a new car. Valon back me up. Also it's got air conditioning and power steering. It's a high optioned Dart Custom for sure.
We have new neighbors that moved in across from us, seem pretty nice, the dude owns what looks like a 70's grand prix with historic plates. But everyday from 830-9PM I can hear him revving his engine in the driveway for the past two weeks, which wouldn't be an issue but its fucking LOUD. Loud enough it woke me up Tuesday when I was trying to sleep for clinical at 3AM like fuck dude
So ask him to quit it, and if he doesn't then complain to the housing association. Those guys can fuck anything up.
Alright guys, I'm looking to trade my Volvo S80 in sometime before Thanksgiving and im open to ideas for my next car. - I'd prefer a manual transmission - around 5-7 grand - And I'd prefer another European car I'm leaning towards an 03'+ Saab 9-3 or a Volvo s60. If I took a BMW I'd really prefer for it to be a coupe but I'm open to ideas.
Green BMW
This looks phenomenal dude!! Nice work, and I'm mad jealous about the paint booth.

spent most of friday pulling a seized 350 outta my girls dad's '73 K5 and dropping a known good 350 in it's place it's got a rebuilt SM465 mated to an NP205 in it it's eventually getting an 8" lift and 38's and depending on how it goes together he's got a built 454 that might go into this instead of his 72 cheyenne. also didn't get any decent pictures sadly but we finally saw the 350 thats going into the CJ and boy howdy is it nice (comp 292H cam, hooker super comp headers, edelbrock performer intake and 750 carb, dart SHP heads the blocks been bored .030" over with a 383 stroker kit with scat forged h-beams and crankshaft) it came out of an '89 z28 IROC that the local community college auto lab built and then sold I think the 375-400 HP estimate was a wee bit on the conservative side lol he was planning on just giving the engine and transmission to us but idk I'll probably end up throwing him some money for it cause bloody hell is it nice and I feel bad [t]http://i.imgur.com/0uNJZjI.jpg[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/tSKcBE9.jpg[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/hUIfIpM.jpg[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/iAmfxML.jpg[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/dwRiWS1.jpg[/t]
So the window motors on my new door shit out, just my fucking luck.

I unexpectedly sold every wheel I brought over from japland (for profit), and decided that this is easy and something I like doing. Rather than spamming facebook groups, I decided to make a page for it. check it out and tell me what sucks about it if you get bored. http://www.sjpwheels.com/ I don't have anything up for sale right now because its all still in japan or needs refinishing, but should have some stuff in a few weeks. Also someone on here makes stickers right? id like to go through someone I know.
