Tell me your secrets! I'm looking for something that's not a motorcycle, but motorized. Something to cruise around town. I'm tired of taking my Charger out to go across town. "But Lerlth, what about walking!?" Hey! We're in the Automotive Addicts thread! Heretic!
Motorized bicycle always looked like a fun project to me. Really cheap to modify/personalize the vehicle (we're talking bike parts after all). You do anything from a shoddy $100 2-stroke kit (ask notlabbet) to a nice $400 4-stroke kit to a DIY like Birdman. I'd personally stick a 4-stroke onto a cruiser frame, give it flat bars, lights, fenders, meaty slicks and just hit the street.

"But Lerlth, what about walking!?" Hey! We're in the Automotive Addicts thread! Heretic!
anything you need to know, just ask. I don't like the sort of people who hide knowledge. [editline]29th September 2015[/editline] my personal bike has that $100 2 stroke, but only because I race in a class that requires it. with some heavy dremel work and a couple custom machined parts it's now doing 51 miles per hour at 11,660 rpm up from the original 28 miles per hour at 6600 rpm my results with that engine aren't what I'd call reasonably attainable. if someone told me they want to go as fast as I'm going I would suggest they buy a 50cc morini and custom fabricate some motor mounts for it. You've got to know your way around a 2 stroke and have access to a full machine shop to do what I'm doing. it's a $100 engine but I've probably got an extra $300 in materials alone into it. I'd charge no less than $1200 for this engine if a customer wanted one (and I'm not out of my mind on that one, similar engines from crmachine and arrow motorized cycles fetch similar prices, and engines from bert rod are even pricier.) something like a 50cc morini or ktm or similar would require no more than motor mounts and get you in the same ballpark I'm in for around $500 [editline]29th September 2015[/editline] my bike's not like some peoples where it's got nothing down low and takes forever to reach top speed either. it could easily be a 65 mile per hour bike with a smaller rear sprocket but that would put me in unlimited class with guys who have 20 horsepower predator 212s on their bikes.

[t]http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/cnIAAOSw9r1V~guo/$_57.JPG[/t] Wish I had space/time/money/talent to take on a project like this and do it right. [editline]29th September 2015[/editline] Replace the itty bitty engine with either a good bike engine or a Ford 1.0 ecoboost for reliability, restore it to paint, it'd certainly draw a crowd at shows.

Opinions? Seems to be on sale for a decent price. I'd probably go for the 800 or 1000 watt version.
Hey guys, looking into rims for the Subie. I'm shit at wheel and tire fitment, but I have Cooper Weathermaster tires I want to put onto a new set of rims. My tires are 205/55r16 - will they fit on these? http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=MT16705MT&wheelMake=Monte+TITANO&wheelModel=MT1+Piana&wheelFinish=Matte+Titanium&showRear=no&autoMake=Subaru&autoModel=Impreza+2.5TS+Wagon&autoYear=2002&autoModClar= Thanks!
The tires would fit, and the wheels are mostly within spec for a Subaru. The only issue I see is, they don't list the hub bore. Subaru's are designed to use hub centric wheels. Not a huge issue, just means you would need to buy hub centric rings or have some machined to keep the car safe.

Stock offset is +52-55 on forester/impreza 01-07. I currently run 65 tall on stock rims and they rub only a tiny bit because i'm lowered (wrx)

I saw some kid in my school bought himself a used mustang convertible. I walked up to him to talk about it. "Saw the new Mustang, looks nice. GT?" "Yep" "Oh, nice. Automatic?" "Yep" "Oh, sorry..."
"Mustang?" "yea" "Automatic" "yea" "6 cylinder" "yea" Goodbye.
"Mustang?" "yea" bye
i dont talk to anyone unless they have; a engine in the V configuration over 8 cylinders with a pushrod system if a straight engine, must have at least 6 cylinders over 3.5 litres rear wheel drive a turbo and/or supercharger a patriotic automobile branded vehicle (commie shit get out) superfluous naming badges on said vehicle

as long as its not modern muscle or a supercar there's a good chance I appreciate it
"Mustang?" "yea" "Automatic" "yea" "6 cylinder" "yea" Goodbye.
4 cylinder "eco boost" is pretty retarded too.
I've finally learnt how to launch in an automatic :goodjob:
4 cylinder "eco boost" is pretty retarded too.
You're kidding, right?
A 4 banger isn't a mustang...
The Mustang II begs to differ. I'm kidding.
I'd rather have the ecoboost mustang than the v6.
A 4 banger isn't a mustang...
Found the V6 market
Found the V6 market
If I get a muscle car it'd be a V8... V6 is pretty useless to unless it's a lighter car. Not a heavy ass mustang
found another good s40 offer on craigslist but the seller isn't responding to me anymore :frown:
you know a 2015 mustang v6 is 3500 pounds with 300 horsepower, right? that's similar power to weight ratio as an s2000 or a wrx sti

yeah but the problem with mustangs is theyre fucking boring
yeah but the problem with mustangs is theyre fucking boring
the v8 doesn't fix that [editline]29th September 2015[/editline] even cobras and gt500s are boring
A 4 banger isn't a mustang...
The SVO would like to have a word with you.
