Hey clutch, seeing as you're the only dude here who has an NSX (unsure of year), if you ever run into a catastrophic engine issue, this guy here has done WONDERS to his. The J-Swap I check that forum every so often and was surprised to find an update, has some awesome info in Hondas V6 engines too.
Oh god. 6000 watt amp for $150 with good reviews http://www.amazon.com/Lanzar-VCT2610-2-Channel-High-Power-Amplifier/dp/B002WLEY34/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1443576525&sr=1-4&keywords=5000+watt+amp
That is not a 6000w amp. It is a lie masquerading as a good deal. To prove this we use math; The amp has 120A worth of fusing on it. Now we use Watt's law to determine maximum wattage at 14.4v (running voltage) 120A x 14.4v = 1728watts That is a MAXIMUM of 1728 watts that amp can put out. That is at full tilt, with the fuses glowing ready to pop. However, no piece of electrical equipment is 100% efficient. In fact, since this is a Class AB amp, that means it's about 60% efficient, give or take. Meaning that 40% of that power it consumes is turned into heat. So figure 60% of 1728watts = 1000watts That is at FULL TILT. Anything more and the would be turning into smoke. That is a 1000watt amp when pushed to its limit.. probably less in practical application. Please, stay away from this cheap shit dude. Please.
Hey, you and I both know these things weren't meant for cruising around rural towns! I have a way funner time driving my single cab Dakota around, much lower gear and torque no matter what. I just think I shouldn't be wasted gas and street space to go half a mile.
Just swap some 410s in the rear and put an SXT Nag-1 in. Can't argue with 4.11 first and 4.10 rear.
Almighty clutch, god of all things running on 12-14volts: I love the remote starter I put in my Cavalier last year, it made Northern Ontario winter significantly less depressing. Though come spring the plan is to ditch the poor thing for a 2016 Fiesta ST. A manual car with push button start. Installing a remote start in an automatic Cavalier is one thing that I was able to do myself with minimal help, though I'll definitely leave this shit to the professionals. Is it even possible with that car? If so, what sort of gear would you need to do it? VERY roughly, what would I be looking at paying for such an install?
If it's a stick it's gotta have a specific kind of RS, one that's manual capable. They basically keep the car running after you exit it so that it has to be in N. Then you shut the door and the RS shuts down, and will allow RS after that unless a door is opened (at that point of course it could be put into gear or something). The bummer, however, is that there's currently to bypass firmware available for the PTS Fiesta, 2016. That being said.. there IS a firmware available for the 2013 PTS Fiesta. The interiors don't look like they've changed, which usually means the wiring and so forth hasn't either. It's a possibility that it could work, but it'd be a case of having to actually open the car to verify. My personal favorite for manual trans is Compustar, but right now they don't have an available PTS firmware for that car for any year. It looks, at the moment, like we'd be stuck with Viper product. So something along the lines of a DBALL2 bypass module and a Viper 4806 remote start unit.

Please.
I try and explain this law to people all the time when they have a two channel amp with two 20watt fuses in bridge to a mono input on a two sub box. Theres so many things to explain with why that is wrong... but its done anyway. Playing with resistances and breaking stuff. Its almost always hooked to a pair of 12" kickers too. Somehow kickers are the "best" when it comes to hearsay. Now clutch I have a friend who wants an expensive audio sub setup. He wants a single 15" just to be interesting and some kind of matching amp and im building a glass box for it to fit in his new nissan sentra. He doesnt wanna cheap out but hes not a millionaire. When faced with the question I can only suggest stuff I have personally owned or installed and the best I could think of was Memphis equipment. A single 15" and some kind of monoblock by memphis or polk or fosgate. But im not sure whats a good matching pair. Im trying to fit it within 3 cubic feet of box too. Its goinf to be tucked off towards the passenger side of the trunk kind of.
Lol all we can do is try to help, right? Single 15" can be a great setup. I run a single 15" Kicker L7 in my daily currently. Love it. It's not a really 'pretty' sub, though. It's got the typical Kicker plastic look to it. Polk's not a good company for amps or subs, IMO. Speakers only. Speakers sound good from them, the subs are fragile and the amps aren't very reliable. Memphis is awesome. Hardly ever see them around anymore and if orange is a good color for him, then perfect. Fosgate, too. Still and excellent company, and the P3 is still a very relevant sub. Does he have a specific budget for the amp/sub combo he'd like to stick to? Oh, also, Scientwist.. glad you found that thread! That dude did such an awesome job on the swap, blew my mind. There's some wild stuff on that forum since NSX owners tend to be more in the 'semi-wealthy middle age' demographic, it seems. The Madonna widebody build is absolutely nutty. This is what happens when a man with money has big ideas :) http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/179028-2005-LBBP-Route-KS-Madonna-Wide-Body-Mega-Build

I cant remember the name but its basically perfectly square and never gets hot. It fits behind the dashboard in my dart. Installed it two years ago and forget about it. It never heats up. Never failed. Maybe not all their stuff is as good? I personally always turn to diamond for speakers. I had a feeling infinity and fiamond were one in the same because infiniti speakers look exactly like diamonds. My personal favorite sub I ever had was a 12.25" audiobahn aluminum dvc sub. It weighed 16lbs. It was awesome. But that company is no longer around. He doesnt have a real budget persay but he feels like spending money lets say.
Sounds like the PA330. http://www.polkaudio.com/pa3302/d/1163 I dunno, I had a couple die on me and have noise issues and shyed away from them after that. Diamond used to be the bomb, not sure if they're still as good, haven't used a new set in a while. Infinity's always been a division of Harman Kardon, though. JBL, infinity, and Harman are all from the same fatherland. If you want to try something off the beaten trail you could try DC audio or SoundQubed. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_88156_DC-Audio-Level-3-15D2-M2LV315D2.html http://www.soundqubed.com/ I personally love the look of an all black woofer with classic dust cap and a basic company design on it. Not for everyone, though. The soundqubed stuff is suuuuper legit for a good price. Even the HDS2's for $105 or so. Love em. Memphis Mojos, always good choices; https://www.memphiscaraudio.com/products/subwoofers/mojo5-subwoofers/ American Bass is another great choice; http://www.americanbassusa.com/ However they're not flashy looking at all, which may or may not work for the build. Classic Rickmore Fuzzball, too. P3. Yes http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_36000_Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P3D4-15-Newest-Model.html These are 12s... but sure would make a good oldschool system; http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-TS-W3002D2-Champion-Subwoofer-Watts/dp/B001P6ZHLK/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1443583704&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=pioneer+champion+15
last weekend a gremlin moved into the bus and ate all the 12v electricity. Nothing would work. If I took some fuses out and crossed other things, it would sort of work, but the fault lights would all come in dim and it would just fail under any more load than a 12v fan and a light. I spent 3 hours attempting voodoo magics to exorcise the gremlin, but nothing would work. I checked all the grounds and everything. I tried every ground, that is, except for the ground to the batteries. Which worked perfectly fine until the gremlin moved in, but when I crawled under the bus in the rain and unbolted it, it was nothing but a crumbling rust hole. The gremlin is dead now, I am the victor. I also got a bunch of digital gauges for AC volts, AC amps, DC volts, and DC amps, but I needed some sort of plastic panel for them, so I found something I can cut up to fit on top of the panel box. Got invited to a car show over the weekend, so I got the car all dolled up and took her out! [editline]29th September 2015[/editline] From the Vette, to the Jeep, we were all rolling together as part of a local car club :)

And from everything I've read my transmission will work just fine with a J series. Why not just "go manual" or get a newer trans? Because the MPZA transmission is a rock solid unit and I'd rather just have that, not trying to break any land speed records or going full 1380. And holy shit, those rich-ish dudes really got some kinda imagination going on there, that madonna kit is nuts.
So it turns out that the registration fee for the Supra is going to be around 75,000 kroner, which is $11,500 The car was $3,000 lol
What do you guys think of these subs? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JECAM2/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pd_te_o_gc_ti/178-6341354-0171151

I used to hate that in circuit city when they were around "wow $150 for a box and two subs?" Nope $150 for the box. They used to display all their audio in its own enclosures. If it does come with the woofers, those are incredibly cheap woofers. I havent seen a jackhammer or mtx in several years. I figured it didnt exist anymore.
Is this cause it spent most of its life as a racecar and now your trying to put it on the street after not being registered forever?
No, it's just how much it costs to register a powerful car.
No, it's just how much it costs to register a powerful car. [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] I bet he got some rebates because of the age too.
A base Supra has about 220hp. That's not "powerful."
Iirc, that's the turbo version, which means it has 320-326 hp, and it has a 3 liter engine, and I don't know how they calculate the fee in Denmark, but in Norway they use the power and engine capacity, and when your regular car has an engine with around 2 litre and 120hp, 3L/320hp is powerful.

Nothing ground shaking, but I've thought they're worth it the couple times I've installed that specific loaded box. There used to be a bundle deal floating around the net with a little 400w or so MTX amp to go with it, too, for like $200 or $250 total. That's a good price, too.
