I had to remove my passenger side rear tow hook because the new muffler would knock into it under certain forces. Might get slimmer tow hooks and/or stiffer poly hangars. Anyway, thoroughly washed the whole car today, ready for a club cruise tomorrow.
Can someone do me a solid and try to find the roof rail seal/upper weatherstripping part for a 4-door 1999 blazer. LMC only sells the 2 door model and calls it drip seal. Rock Auto seems to think its called a roof rail seal... I'm at a complete loss of what this damn door seal/weather stripping/drip rail/ is called. I can find you one but it would be shipping from canada [editline]3rd October 2015[/editline] How is it bad, cant you just reglue it back?
It would be great if I knew the real name of it before I start saying yes to things
It would be great if I knew the real name of it before I start saying yes to things
lol well you don't need to know the name of it to rip it off a car in the scrap yard.
lol well you don't need to know the name of it to rip it off a car in the scrap yard.
I'd rather buy new since all the rubber off those is going to be in equal or worse condition. This is only an issue because the damn rubber shrunk after all these years.
That's why you yank it off at a junk yard and ask the tenant 'whut dis?'
"Rubber door seals"
"misc bracketry" "misc wire harness" "misc interior knob" i love yanking random shit off chevys.
Do you guys think I should fix my car up or save up for a better one? It's a 98 Sable, it's pretty rusty, the lid to the compartment between the front seats is broken off, the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced, the front passenger wheel bearing assembly needs to be replaced, all the shocks need to be replaced, and both driver side tires need to be replaced. If I should fix it, what should I fix first? I also forgot to mention that the passenger rear-view mirror needs to be replaced.
Window motor went out on my Mazda. Took the door panel off to replace it and found almost a dollar in change inside the door. How the fuck does that even happen? I usually keep all my change in the center console.

Forget anything that serves no mechanical functionality if you already have doubts in the back of your mind on getting rid of it. But anywho if your forced to drive it I would at least do wheel bearings and tires.

Im pretty sure I've never shot from inside the vehicle... :tinfoil: I would like to also point out the Mighty Car Mods ep were they stick a 350hp motor in a 74 beetle. Why... WHY Why would you NOT put better breaks on the thing!?!?!? Come on like a disk conversion on all 4's is like 600$ soo much cheaper than all that fancy fabrication work by far.

I don't think the stock transmission will hold that much power for very long.

Got a new car yesterday, 2002 Honda Civic EX 5-speed. Right now it's slammed but I definitely want to raise it, it was practically impossible to get over the speed bumps going into my development. Options on the truck; 265/75/16 :Same size 235/85/16 :1" skinnier, .1" taller +1MPG from less weight+wind resist +Traction in snow, mud, etc -Grip on tar 285/75/16 :1" wider, 1" taller :May look odd without lift +/-MPG? May lose, may gain from gearing/weight -Traction in snow, some types of mud +Grip on tar Thoughts, opinions? The 265/235 are 32" tires, 285 is a 33" tire. Would be getting an all terrain, probably used and trading my tires partly for them. Leaning towards 235/85/16, the mileage and offroad benefits sound very enticing.

I drove a Mercedes E-class the other day, and with 5 people in it, we scraped the underside everytime we went over a bump. Also managed to scrape up the front because his brother fucked up the bumper during an alignment. All in all, it was better fully loaded, when it was just me driving, it sounded like the drive shaft was about to break or something, sounded really bad.
http://imgur.com/KSYWMWx http://imgur.com/mGZZHpz Found this in my sisters 2012 malibu. She doesn't know what it is or where it came from. Google didn't tell me anything. Any ideas? She got this car new in 2012. The dealer break something and shove it in the glove box or is it some weird tool?
Where'd she find it? Could just be a panel that fell off from somewhere.

My father's Pilot has panels like that in the trunk that are always falling off.

oh fuck me holy fuck i nearly died laughing
So I recently bought a honda which is affected by the whole shrapnel throwing airbag recall debacle but there is no way that i could get a replacement since it was imported years ago from overseas. Even though the chance of it being faulty is extremely slim the thought of potentially having a frag grenade for an airbag is really unsettling. Am i getting concerned over a whole lot of nothing?
depends if you're planning on crashing it.
depends if you're planning on crashing it.
It's my first car so I might as well do but then again, those airbags in question have been in use across 3 million+ cars for at least 10 years with only a handful of incidents realated to said shrapnel so now that i think about it I shouldn't even have posted my concerns in the first place. Compared to other potential threats this issue becomes just another over sensationalized news story.
