I'd have done a burnout all the way out of sight if he said that about my truck in that situation. [editline]9th October 2015[/editline] burnouts make civic guys so jealous
Yeah he's a fuck but I chalked it up to him being dumber than a box of rocks. Lord knows I though about it though and who knows maybe karma will smile upon me lol
"Thanks for helping bruh, but damn you truck looks like shit" "I just forgot, I have to go return some video tapes, bye"
Take it from me, a ninja 250 is a spectacular starter bike. Most people tend to think that a 250 with only ~29 HP would be gutless but it's startlingly quick and does great on the highway. Plus the bike weighs nothing, is mechanically simple, is cheap to fix, and is hard to kill yourself on. It would also fit your frame pretty well (I think, I'm 5'11" so I can't say for sure, but a friend of mine who is 5'7" thought it was pretty comfortable). 120k miles is a shit ton for a motorcycle, and I'd be surprised if it lasted for a whole lot longer. An older 600 isn't nearly as bonkers as a new one but it still might be a bit too much if you've never ridden before.
I'd even say 300 would be a great start since they'll probably grow out of the 250 pretty quick
Welp, narrowed my choice to Toyota Camry XLE, late 90's to '00 variants. Hopefully I can pull a good one off of craig's by the end of this month.

It doesn't seem like you're looking for a specific model because of the benefits that model has (such as performance and luxuries), there's probably something else out there for the same price that fulfils your needs out of the car.

I've been eyeballing camrys in the local area because a few owners are selling them at 2-3k, and there are some models of that around. Hopefully I can resell it when the time comes, likely to add/fix it more.
I dont have really any experience with sportsbikes, but my cx500 hauls some ass now that i put on new mikuni vm34 carbs, straightpiped, tuned, and modernized the ignition system. You wouldnt expect an 80s 500lb 500cc cruiser to be able to do wheelies, but it does now.
I can't see myself with a starter bike smaller than a 300. All the roads going anywhere here are 60+, there is no way I would feel confertible pushing the limit of the bike for acceleration in any event or twitchy thumb times.
Just made my appt to get my sub/amp/GPS stereo deck installed. No fucking appointments until 11/7 though. Gotta wait I guess.
Damn. That's a long time for that...
I need some input. I'm looking at two RSX's, one with 89k and another with 78k. The one with 89k is the color I want, and 05, and about 20 minutes away, but has been in two accidents, both of which Carfax says the vehicle was driveable afterwards. The other RSX (w/ 78k) is not the color I want and about an hour away (so no local mechanics), but an 06, never been in an accident, and $1500 cheaper. It seems like a clear decision, but I was wondering if you guys think I should go for the closer one. I'll probably be able to haggle them down to close to the price of the other one, but it's been in two accidents. Plus side of the other one also is that I can get a local mechanic to inspect it. [editline]9th October 2015[/editline] also, the closer one has a replaced bumber that is slightly off-shade, but I could fix this myself very easily after buying it.
Wouldn't hurt to look, if you don't like what you see just walk away.
Damn. That's a long time for that...
That's nothing. Called a couple weeks ago because I got a Groupon for a full car tint for $90. They had zero appointments until December 9th.
Holy crap you must live in a big metropolitan area? Usually Best Buy isn't booked out that far, I can get you hooked up with a good installer depending on where you're located at if you're interested.
Prepare to buy a box of gloves along with the car. You will need them in the unfortunate event you have to work on it.
oil fucked the electronics so its off my list.
The resident dick (young know it all type drives a riced out EM1 civic) at my work was having car trouble. So I decided to be good guy greg and help out so he didn't have to get it towed. Took literally 2 minutes to figure out the alternator was toast asked him if he wanted me to change it for him pulled my truck over to him going "are you sure that piece of shit can make it over here" I get that my truck isn't gonna win any beauty contests but she's got it where it counts and you don't insult a mans truck and shortly after got "Man are you sure you can work on it it's got mods!" I've seen built B16s I've worked on built B16s a built B16 this thing was not. So with my response being "I've worked on cars with engines with more horsepower in one cylinder worth more than this car" that shut him up had the damn thing pulled in 20 minutes and a 80$ with discounts alternator in inside of an hour including driving him to advance. I must admit pinning the throttle and pinning him to the seat in my "piece of shit" truck was fun
B16A's are shit, all they are good for is a headswap onto a mildly build(shotpeened rods/arp rod bolts) LS/B20 block or a beater motor for a beater Civic. N/A built B16's are usually shit as well so unless it has a turbo I'd always bet money that it makes like 140whp rofl.
I need some input. You'll often find that even if you buy a car in a color that you don't like initially you'll fall in love with it over time. Clean examples of RSX's are getting very hard to find, I'd definitely just buy the clean one.
Focusing my attention onto Mitsubishi starions now. That is, once I sell both my cars.
well, the Audi B2 died in the middle of a parking lot. the fuel pump was FUBAR turns out the dealer from whom I bought the car installed a new (?) fuel pump which was way too small, had the wiring chopped up to jury rig the fit, and made a loud whining noise whenever the car was on. $475 later, the whining is gone and the car runs pretty smoothly left is the pump the dealer installed, right is the new one now the asshole wants me to give him the old broken fuel pump back lmao
Exhaust broke off right after the manifold, luckily it happened in our driveway after driving for about two hours. That's what I get for using my car as "just a car" since I have 0 energy left after work.
I had to drive a Prius today. A 2nd(?) generation standard Prius. It confirmed absolutely every preconceived notion I had about the car.

I've been looking at mountune for the newest model fiesta ST, and I know the turbos by default are pretty quiet, do you think having a high flow air filter in the mountune would make it louder? And if not do you think there is any way? I love the sound of turbos so much especially when they have blow off valves attached to them.
"pretty low miles for a civic this old" "i know what i got" http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/5260309336.html

My friend has high airflow aftermarket intake (although not mountune) and it doesn't make much difference sound wise.
