v4s exist but toyota never made one. it's mostly a motorcycle thing
What a day.. 3 people I know got flat tires. One of them the truck wouldn't start afterwards and I drove out to help him, found it had no fuel pressure. I pissed around for 30 mins until a tow truck showed up and he goes 'might be the crash switch?' It was a Ford.. so yes, yes it was the crash switch. Clicked the light in my head. Stupid, never even crossed my mind til he said it. Room mate was 4 hours away in Minnesota with his new BMW and got a flat. Spare tire was low and they broke the valve stem at the gas station, then managed to get a ride to Tires Plus which was still open, but only brought the flat tire. Turned out it had a fucking hole in the tire AND the rim. Poor guy. Also a friend of a friend passed today in an accident. Not certain yet, but everyone who knows him it pretty sure he fell asleep at the wheel, because he's always nodding off when people are with him and he's driving. His Sunfire crossed the center line and hit a Cobalt. Heart attack isn't out of the question yet, either. What a mess, going to be a real shame if the other guy dies, too. Don't drive drowsy guys. Anyone know what might stop the horn working in an e36? Fuse isn't blown and I tried another relay from the fusebox. Nada. :(
sprayed my wheel trims, they actually turned out really well. Might post a picture of the whole car when its finished, would anyone want to see a modded ford KA?
I think I figured out my horn problem. Air bag clockspring. The good: Will fix my horn, airbag light and creaky steering wheel. The bad: They aren't cheap, and they're all used as far as I can see. A parts car is almost the same price! :v:
[t]http://imgkk.com/i/oj67.jpg[/t] my heater works good
So, sub decided to kick in on the way to my appointment at Best Buy and proceeded to cut in and out on my way back home. Leads me to believe something is loose, somewhere. [editline]15th October 2015[/editline] Fixed it. Bad Y cable. Put in my second one and jiggled the cables in the wiring harness around and the sub never cut out. Thanks for the quality wiring, Best Buy.
So.... Subaru's sold. The guy who's buying it has transferred money but it takes a few days for the transfer to be completed so when I get the money, he'll get the car.
Don't drive drowsy guys.
I can second that. I used to work from 11pm to 8am, but I'd have to drive 2 to 3 hours one way depending on where the job site was. I used to stay awake off energy drinks, caffeine, roll down the windows and sing really loud to the radio, or just start yelling a lot. Sounds weird but it keeps you kind of alert. There was never anyone else on the road. One day though I was driving down the freeway and I swore a pack of dogs just ran into the road but there was like 1,000 of them, and swerved off and stopped. There was nothing there. I took a nap on the side of the road, and then quit in the morning and never went back. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend clutch, that's a real shame.
Serj. It's calling for you. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5256505071.html
Serj. It's calling for you. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5256505071.html
That is such a glorious piece of shit. I wouldn't touch anything more than I had to to get it roadworthy. Wish I lived near it. e: oh god it's already roadworthy. I'm in love
That thing looks so rad, I'd competely redo the interior and nothing more, maybe change the grille to a 72, but it looks roadkill-esc
I'd redo it too - brand new duct tape seat covers.
The most surprising part of that ad is that it "RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT"

http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5256505071.html
dem Nos floormats So folks, the past year or so, my car's trans clicks + experiences some resistance on the 4-to-3 shift, especially at higher rpm (I think I've posted about it before). New trans fluid change doesn't change anything, always assumed it was a synchro down on its luck. However, I've been noticing that it's a lot less bad when the car is cold. So cooler, more viscous trans fluid seems to help—why? and is this possibly the trailhead of a solution?

Just dump some Lucas trans fix shit into it to add thicker viscosity. If it's ticking in every gear and with the rpm of the engine than its either the TC or Pump. Unless it is a elmanual than dump rear end oil into it. Same thing of transfer cases. Never put straight ATF is them 50/50 ATF and straight 30 weight.

Yay! $200 to get both my heads machined, valve job, pressure checked, and new valve seals!
Yay got a ticket today for a red light... 250usd Was transporting about 900KGs of glass for work, couldnt brake too hard or my shit would get fucked. Pulled up behind a semi and didn't see the light was already red as the back of the semi passed it. Oh well

Can't afford to buy a brand new set, can't find a used set or someone to trade me a better set. They have 90%+ tread, just a sucky compound. If the light turns yellow and you hessitate any to decide between going or stopping, it's going to be a screaming hault. Freshly wet and slick tar, easy to spin on take offs. Dirt, need 4wd for most hill take offs if it's loose.
Yes. Ford, Lancia, and ZAZ were the only production companies to make one, and Ford loaned theirs to Saab for a couple cars.
What stopped the V4 design?
What stopped the V4 design?
I4s are cheaper
it's blowing no less than 140 degrees
I see your heater also has the "surface of the sun" setting is the one right below it "lukewarm" too
its actually only surface of the sun settings. if the slider isn't in the blue it pegs that dial thermometer really sucked this morning when it was 58 degrees ie not hot enough to need 140 degree heat but too cold to leave it as it was
What stopped the V4 design?
[Del]They're not very smooth engines either iirc[/del] Apparently they have perfect balance at 90°

Adjust windows to your liking.
Defroster and a cracked driver and passenger window. Adjust windows to your liking.
that's how I got away with it this morning. I don't like driving with a cracked window on interstate but you gotta do what you gotta do
What stopped the V4 design?
Much more complicated to produce than an I4 without much benefit; you need more material, two separate cylinder heads, and so on. There are few applications where the reduced longitudinal length on a V4 is of much benefit, because even a big I4 engine can fit fine in just about any engine bay. In comparison, the size savings made from making an inline 6 or 8 into a V- configuration are pretty hefty. You'll seriously struggle to fit an I8 into a transverse configuration, but a V8 is perfectly fine if a bit cramped.
