So after 5 hours driving yesterday across state lines and back, I now have a new car. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5027205/mecar.jpg[/t] 2004 Volvo V70 2.5T. And oh what a lovely car it is. The turbo really makes the car, and I still get better gas mileage then I did with my Taurus. I really wanted to get it cleaned up this weekend, but Ohio weather has finally decided to go batshit for the year, it;s been raining with a mix of snow every so often, and I have no garage. But still, the only horrible thing is that the plastic trim is REALLY faded. ANy good products on the market to make em nice and black again?
Soak a rag in tire wet and wipe along the faded trim until new looking and not streaky if you really want it to look good ASAP. If you can wait a bit, order up a silicone release agent aerosol for auto detailing, which will last longer and make less of a mess than the tire shine. I'm trying to remember what brand of silicone spray I used to use, but my brain is failing me today.
Bought myself this today. 325,000km, brand new gearbox, brand new clutch and brand new rear diff. Rest of the car other than the body is absolutely perfect as well. Not a bad purchase for $1,800 AU I reckon. Certainly goes hard offroad, with a full car got through some pretty deep sand with road tyre pressure.
What a stupid change... again [editline]18th October 2015[/editline] Apparently not. I've tried t, thumb and img_thumb now but they're still huge.
Thought it was always [t]
Thought it was always [t]
I've always used just [t] and it did work when I posted it, but when I checked the thread later the pics were all huge like now.

Guess keep on trying to refresh the stylesheet until its fixed. Thankfully mine hasnt updated yet
These strips are going behind some trim along the top of the walls so they shine up on the ceiling. I also got a fog machine, and Im getting a laser projector too. shits gonna be siezure-inducingly great.
Looks fixed to me
Thought it was always [t]
it was only img_thumb until labs was implemented in 2009. was [thumb] or [img_thumb] for a long while and [t] is fairly recent. I've always done [thumb] didn't stop using [img_thumb] until a few years ago

Looked up the new F150 stuff... Was really hoping for 25hwy for the 4x4 model. It does not get that. Avg user is getting like 17 combined, which is not better than what I get now. Kinda disappointed. Was really hoping their new 2.7 would tear it up a bit more

So.. I checked and the price for a brand new clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, and an exhaust system will cost ~ $468
So.. I checked and the price for a brand new clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, and an exhaust system will cost ~ $468
I honestly fell bad for you. All clutch components are around 140$ here. Includes hardware and a flywheel resurface. And my most favorited exhaust is only 110$ Utilizes the original exhaust holes in the rear apron and sounds wonderful.....but you lose your heater... "Sport Exhaust Narrow Muffler"
Do I get 2015 WRX or STI? I don't plan to go on track
Do I get 2015 WRX or STI? I don't plan to go on track
Dont be stupid. WRX.
Did a service yesterday. One bolt wasn't budging (there's always one), so I had to pull it down as much as I could. As I did, it broke free and quickly covered my face in oily muck that was stuck in there. :disgust:

There's also of plenty good aftermarket for the FA20, I follow PRL Motorsports on Instagram and they've had some pretty nice FA20 cars. Supposedly you get some super solid gains with some basic mods and a tune. http://prlmotorsports.com/prlmotorsports2015wrxchargepipekit.aspx http://prlmotorsports.com/2015wrx3j-pipe.aspx The LSD diffs and the steering rack are really worth it though, the stock suspension on the STI is probably about perfect for what you really want out of a brand new performance car. I can't say if all that is worth the extra cash and insane insurance bump but it's definitely worth it when compared to not having them.

At first glance I thought that was a picture of someone who welded tow subarus together like James may did with his Limo Challenge.

It's like a third of the price I expected, dude.
Such an itty bitty clutch! Or maybe that's just the picture. I was looking at the new Ford GT today online.. made me remember just how amazing the 2000's one was. What a phenomenal car. I forgot how expensive they were, too, lol. Seems like it's the super car everyone forgets about. Or maybe just me. The Ferrari 430 started $10,000 above the GT for the base model and skyrocketed from there
Isn't the Ford GT now worth 2x what MSRP was when it rolled off the lot?
Someone has installed a dump valve on a diesel Seat near me and it sounds like an asthmatic zoidberg....... Fuck Northern Ireland and its boy racer scene.
I want a different car, i really dont like the Golf lol Its slow and really heavy. My Punto was light and quick :(
http://marshall.craigslist.org/mcy/5261378560.html I had an oppertunity to ride a GL1100 around the block yesterday and I fell in love. http://marshall.craigslist.org/mcy/5261378560.html waaaaaant http://siouxfalls.craigslist.org/mcy/5242078041.html I might be able to talk this guy down to 1000 since the stator is shot. Then I would have a winter project of either dropping the engine and replacing the stator, or doing an alternator conversion.
Well that was too good to be true. The guy who were gonna buy the Subaru pulled out in the last second with the excuse that the insurance was more expensive than his turbo Forester. Funny though that when I check the insurance on myself, the Domingo is half the price of the Forester.

Hopefully you'll find another seller soon.
It's so incredibly damn annoying though. I was ready to go get a Merc in Oslo as soon as I had gotten the money for the Subaru. So no Merc yet I guess. Or, in your case, were they not asking to have it held?
