There was a geocache next to my school, it had a pack of gum with 3 pieces in it and the geocache note in it, we took the gum and filled it with pine cones from and near tree and left a note that said "we didn't have anything elce to repay the Minty gun so here's some pine fresh scent in a container" we went back around 5 months later and t was gone though :(
I want a GPS.

i've gone geo-caching several times, it's really fun
This actually seems fun, if i find time i will try
I went around the trail near my house and found 4 caches, all in very well hidden (but easy to access) areas like logs and rocks. I found this huge ammo can under a tree.
Went out around maybe a 5 mile radius got about 10 and 2 not finds.
Is there a Java app for phones with GPS? I found an app but I don't want to use it in case it uses my credit... :(
The search function on that site is the slowest shit ever.
My dad found out about this a few years ago. He wanted to do it and also set up some caches, but we didn't have a GPS.
My dad found out about this a few years ago. He wanted to do it and also set up some caches, but we didn't have a GPS.
doesn't necessarily stop you, people used to do this with pen and paper. Just print out a map with the general location and use the clues presented.
I live in Oxford, UK. Going to hit the city centre tomorrow, it's crawling with them. Psyched.
Just went to find one today, took me a good 15 minutes to find it, sneaky place. This is in Glasgow, the rise statue.
Found 1 out of like 8 around Abingdon and Sunningwell, Oxfordshire. They are impossible to find without GPS in that place :C I will also check out the ones in Oxford city centre at some point this holiday. :fuckyou:
I live in a small, 50 000 people city, in Quebec Canada, main language is french. And there's still over 30 geo cache around the city! Finally a reason to go outside!

Found 6 today. Oxford has some pretty cool Caches. There was one in a disused washing machine in a Laundrette. Awesome.
Found my first up at a cemetery. Sweet.
Lots of great caching information is available at Geocaching University: http://www.geocacher-u.com/ Including how-to's, and printable log sheets for setting out your own caches. http://geocacher-u.com/content/blogsection/8/54/ And a printable brochure that explains most of how "The Game" works: http://www.geocacher-u.com/resources/brochure1.pdf
I might try this, looks completely badassed.
Sounds like fun
Sounds like fun
Just found my first geocache with Bengley (his second). Didn't sign our names in it the logbook was soaking wet.
Found one in my hometown 2 hours ago, I guessed its location completely. There were 4 locations that fit the description. :(
There's a GeoCache on top of my local church. Fuck if I'm grabbing that. [editline]11:13PM[/editline] There's another one in somebody's back garden. What a failure. [editline]11:14PM[/editline] Apparently there's only like 5 in my area excluding the above two. [editline]11:17PM[/editline] is there any point trying this without a gps or can I just memorize the details from a PC
Ahh, I used to go Geocaching with my dad. Fun times.
