there was a proper reason behind it in the black metal scene... Can't really remember it that well though :v:
But the goregrind stuff is just for the lols.

Vedicardi iirc you went on about this once? Care to educate us? :v:
yeah the corpse paint and such were tributes to ancient nordic culture which black metal guys felt was destroyed by christians, thus why they started burning the churches, though for people that took it to an extreme like Dead did it just because they were miserable depressed people that couldn't find any other way to express themselves
[editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
when it comes to goregrind it's just to piss people off just like Stormtroopers of Death were doing in 1985 with "pussywhipped" and "post-menstrual blues" and all that
Jerked off to music

Not grindcore, that came from punk not metal.
So did thrash. Grind's still a metal genre.

it's mostly a mix of crust punk and death metal
i've never understood why all these rapemetal guys (disgorge and whatever crap they call themselves) name their songs like Abhorrent Desecration of Thee Iniquity, Crevice Flux Warts, Fermented Anal Nectar etc
what the hell...
are those real names? Fermented Anal Nectar is genius
I have never bought music from itunes, and I probably never will.
I bought a new vinyl album with the cd and it came out to cheaper than itunes.

Yup. That band's pretty hilarious lol
I've never listened to Metal Machine Music all the way through, but I'm attempting it right now!
Currently 5 minutes in on part one
Understood why nearly all English bands sound American yet Green Day seems to be forcing an English thing.
With the exception of Billy Bragg, dude goes out of his way to sound like an East Ender.... because he is, presumably.

Look at the deluxe editions of their albums, you'll find pretty much all of the b-sides from the respective eras on them, so they're like mini-compilations.

Skydive first. It's the most thrilling thing I've ever done.
Bungee is pretty intense too.
