Im not sure about decapitation, but the brain might die a bit faster than regular death due to blood loss.
When you are dehydrated you should drink salt water, Ive heard dying from to much water is quite painful due to the kidney failure.

Im tired and dont feel like looking it up, but if I remember correctly you need sodium/potassium for the main chemical reactions in the brain so obviously drinking tons of water would fuck you up badly. Correct me if Im wrong though, cant remember much right now.

Stupid maybe, but it takes a pretty strong will to completely disregard tens of thousands of years of basic survival instinct telling you to stay alive.

while it does take a great deal of determination, it also shows alot of weakness to simply give up cause you think it's too hard to keep living.
and I think that to a degree you are obligated to stay alive. you can always be useful.
you should at least make it as little of a problem for others as you can.
