Imagine if you were a human and had that thing wrapped around your boner.
Now I'm waiting for an anonymous confessional about how someone almost dies from doing this.

On the internet, nobody knows that you're a dog.

I was not expecting this
What if he just couldn't get the leech off so to make himself look less stupid he just called it his pet.
(But from the marks on his arm it is clear this man is insane.)
Probably the biggest fucking leech I've seen. They can actually get this big?

Well first of all they would die.
I was expecting that video of the leech eating the earth worm.
The Giant Amazon Leech (Haementeria ghilianii de Filippi, 1849) is the world's largest leech, growing to a length of 18 inches (45.7 cm), and possibly living as long as 20 years.
Not really.
Leeches have their uses, but filtering blood isn't one of them.
What uses do leeches have?

How did that idea start, anyway? The only reason I thought they filtered blood is because of Speed 2: Cruise Control. I was an impressionable kid and seeing Willem Dafoe in his worst role ever sticking leeches to his body to survive made me think they were a good form of parasite. What is their use beyond being assholes and sucking blood?

During Antiquity and the Middle Ages (and even later) leeches were used to suck up blood from patients, because people thought getting some blood removed could be good for you.
Well, they aren't completely wrong. Leeches do help "filter" blood a bit, plus they have antibiotics and built-in painkillers.
When fingers are reattached, blood flows primarily into the finger rather than going the whole round trip, until smaller veins can repair themselves. This means that blood flows into the finger and doesn't leaving, clotting there instead. Leeches are then sometimes used to drain all of that excess blood until the finger can get its shit together. The alternative is taking off a fingernail and letting the blood out through there, so leeches are usually the best option.
