Wait what?
That's Indian custom you know.
I give tips when the servers come out to give food and provides service as a "thanks for actually caring and doing your job" sort of thing. Instead of leaving one tip at the end. I've never had these problems.
I also give tips to the fast food people when it's lunch rush or anything because their jobs are hell.
But it may have to do with my good looks and charming personality (apparently I have these, high school tells you everything you don't need to know in life) because most waitresses also flirt with me for no reason, even before I give them money, did an experiment with that once, it was interesting.

Uh... why?
All the starbucks around here they make the drinks in front of you... So if someone spit in your drink it would be extremely obvious.
Trust me, they know when you aren't looking towards the bar, that's when they strike(if you're an asshole customer that is.)
I worked at starbucks for a year and a half before going off to college, and my coworkers would fuck with drinks all the time. I never dared because we were under sound and camera surveillance for random audits and whatnot.
bottom line:
if you're nice to an employee, they will usually return the favor. I couldn't tell you how many times customers have treated me like shit, and yet I never stooped low enough to let someone's disrespect compromise my employment.

no that didn't happen and you know it; it's one of the oldest fucking stories in the world
what was the place called? what was the girls name?
I wouldn't know because I've only had one highly overpriced cup of warm milk deceivingly labelled as a "latte" on their menu. I will never go back.
you know that cream on top of your arabica blend venti latté?
yeah, don't ask what's in it
I always tip when I order stuff at Starbucks. Even if I have a gift card, my fathers "gold" card, or a free drink coupon. I tip EVERY time.
I just try to be nice as a general rule
drop roofies in coffee.
They overcharge for it.
If y'all anal about your coffee and want some free, goto Subway before 9am. We're giving away free coffee
I work at a Quizno's and I think spitting in someone's food or whatnot is just terrible. Chances are, they won't notice but if someone got sick or something because of you, it could very horribly effect the company you work for, and if discovered (Most places have cameras), your boss can put the blame on you and you'll get fired and possibly sued.
At my work, if someone is rude, you know what I do? I give them the exact weight of meat that their sandwich gets. Usually, I'm fairly generous (Most large sandwiches get 5oz of meat, I'll usually put on anywhere between 5-6.5. Usually higher end if the person asks for a really good sandwich and is polite.)
I may not like my job but if you are polite, I'll usually have no problem with making you an extra good sandwich, whether it be extra bacon, adding cheese, or throwing on more meat. Be a dick and you're getting a sandwich to the letter. Nothing extra, no love put in. </3
I *always* make the food properly because it's what I'm paid to do. I like keeping my job, and I'm not a dick enough to wreck food. Only time I had a major complaint was because someone asked for a sandwich double toasted and as he walked out the door, he said "it better be burnt to a crisp or I'm coming back." I assumed he didn't want the sandwich charcoal black :/
it better be burnt to a crisp
or im coming back
Don't be rude to people who make your food. o_o Also just be nice to everyone in general..

But isn't all of the slices there before they pay..?
I'm calling BS on this, either the OP is butthurt about getting sacked, or he just hates Starbucks.
The coffee is made in front of you. It would be pretty damn obvious if the staff altered the drinks.

Unless it's totally different in the states, here the coffee is made in front of you. It would be pretty damn obvious if the staff altered the drinks.
I suppose it would work if the customer was distracted and you had your back turned to them. Depending on the layout of the Starbucks it would probably be too risky to even consider.

The other customers in the queue would probably see.

That is part of the reason why it would be too risky.

One of the oldest stories in the world is about Indian men jizzing in some girls food?
That's it, I've lost hope in humanity.
I once went to a restaurant with a few people fro my school, and I didn't get to sit near my friends. Anyway the girl opposite me was really fat and to be honest pretty ugly and she would always complain about her food and threaten to vomit everywhere. It was pretty disgusting, but on top of that she boasted about how her and her boss would always spit in the pizzas they made.
The idea made me feel sick for a while, but the pizzas are far too nice, so I still eat them.
Reminds me of that Roald Dahl's book about the Witches
As a kid I was so disgusted when I was reading that part where waiters spit in someones food
My brother works at a starbucks and when a jerk asks for decaf HE JUST GIVES THEM REGULAR MUAHAHA
I'd say report the guy. That's just a bitch move on his part. Look at it this way. How would you like it if someone spit in your coffee? If you were the customer, and you found out, I'm sure you'd report the guy to his manager. Why not do it now? Do the right thing.
Before, when i went to starbucks, i witnessed an employee spitting in someone's drink, i told him i saw him do it and was going to report him, but he gave me £15 to keep my mouth shut, so i went over the road to costa coffee and spent all my money of frappuccinos and toffee waffles

:colbert:
I dont understand this shit employees going nuts for having to make a bit more complicated types of coffee. YOU ARE BEING PAID FOR SERVING THAT STUFF. IF YOU DONT LIKE THE JOB THEN YOU CAN GET THE HELL OUT.
NO SERIOUSLY.
GET THE FUCK OUT.
People like you make me sick.
