Well I sub conciously tap out the beat for The New Black by strapping young lad and The Essential Salts by Nile, does that count? :v:
Personally I love the drums on Rat Salad
You are a real metal fan if you listen to metal more than anything else
But War Pigs is a win song. Personally I prefer the original version tbh. By Faith No More.
you took the OP of my metallica thread. what are you doing.
you do not deserve it.
No. Not really. Cream is Metal too, don'tcha know?
It's rudimentary, but Metal as fuck. The memorable, heavy guitar riffs, the badass bass and fun drum part. Plus the overall dark and doomy tone, along with sinister lyrics and haunting vocals...
Sounds pretty Metal to me.
Cream is protometal
You're a real metal fan if you use terms like protometal
But seriously, I agree. Cream has some extremely metal elements.
Actually, you can tell who is not a real metal fan by seeing who cares so much that they have to make threads about who is a bigger fan.
Actually, you can tell who is not a real metal fan by seeing who cares so much that they have to make threads about who is a bigger fan.
I think the key is that a real fan makes a thread on a band they love and can then such direct it in the correct manner to keep it both on track, updated and flame free.
:iceburn:
just like mikeyt
he's a real metal fan

Ah, well he should have simply made a thread about the band not a downright idiotic statement.
BTW, epic avatar.
the four founding fathers of metal
Does "Thrash" count as metal?
Does "Thrash" count as metal?
Well, seeing as its full genre name is "Thrash metal," I'd say so.
Because If you don't listen to black sabbath you're not a metal fan
Yes of course! What, you think that you can be a valid metal fan and not listen to Black Sabbath? Hehe posers.
Anyways, I think the best way to tell if someone is a true fan of metal is the good old headmover test.
Throw on something like this (0:24) or this and watch if their head moves or not. The more it moves, the better.
I have a friend who I can play a song with the most blistering grooves, and his head is stone still. It's just sick and wrong.

Nice avatar, love the germs.
I couldn't tap out that stuff, but I can tap to lamb of god...
ITT: People try to prove they're metal

So basically you're seeing if people can move their heads in 4/4 time. Anyone with the most basic sense of rhythm can do that.
I'm a robot, am I metal?
So basically you're seeing if people can move their heads in 4/4 time. Anyone with the most basic sense of rhythm can do that.
Okay, then try some Meshuggah or something. It doesn't really matter.
The point is that I know people who are stone still while listening to the sickest grooves on the planet, and its sick and wrong.

Better than that, if you aren't wrecking your neck to this:

Then there's something desperatley wrong with you.

No, were seeing if people move their heads at all.
i can listen to anything and not move my head at all :smug:
Generally I don't move mine either
Although if it's a good riff I'll tap my foot :v:
Like just now
Riff in Escape by Metallica :slick:
If I'm listening to music while doing homework, all I do is tap my feet. If I'm home alone and listening to music when I'm bored, I lose it.
