Are the people friendly in Sweden?
i would like to know this.
I'm kind of finding all the people who are going, "I can't wait to move" or "Will Country X accept me if I try to live there" really hilarious. Not only are you over-reacting and just trying to get a rouse with those statements, but it's kind of sad how you guys would rather run away from the problem then actually face it best you can.
Did the US become a police state when Lincoln suspended certain key amendments of the Bill of Rights? Did we become a dictatorship when we began throwing citizens into Internment camps on the basis of race and fearmongering? This is going to be at worst something we'll never really hear of again, or used in situations that you will probably think, "yeah it was wrong, but I can see why they used it." The government is far more incompetent then insidious, remember that.
And if it gets worse? Don't just hightail and run away like a bunch of cowards, actually do something about it instead of whimpering for a ticket on the next plane or boat somewhere else.
First Out-Of Country Choice is Sweden

Then some backwater slum in Russia
Then Finland

I'd switch Norway and Denmark around.
Just saying, oil money.

Yea if I try and face the problem that is the U.S. government I'll get labeled as a terrorist and thrown in a federal detention center where I'm butt raped every other day and regularly water boarded. No thanks. I want to be able to have a decent life, preferably with my girlfriend.
When Lincoln did that it was war time, we are not in a time of war or civil uprising.

During those times when rights were suspended, we were at war. Not at war like we were now, we knew our enemy, our enemy had a face and a nationality. They wore a Uniform, and were a national threat to us all. They weren't a band of religious zealots carrying 60 year old rifles not wearing a uniform, they were well trained soldiers who wore a uniform and had state of the art weapons. Our wars with them lasted but a few years, this war we're in now has gone on for a decade, and isn't slowing up. Our latest generation of children has grown up in a society in a constant state of fear mongering. They don't know what it was like before we were at war, and it sucks.

Do you guys really think this is going to be something they'll use to whisk political dissidents off in the dead of night?
Facepunch really does have a penchant for the dramatic.

We won't know what it will be used for until it's used. Either way it's not right and should be knocked down.

Remember when the Patriot Act was first enacted, and how everyone was in uproar over the blatant violations it contained? It's really interesting to see how often the more controversial parts of that Act were used, and how some parts of it were in fact gutted after a few years of it being passed.
I don't see this being any different.
We won't know what it will be used for until it's used. Either way it's not right and should be knocked down.
But the fact is it has been enacted, and there's nothing we can really do but wait and see how it's used. Until we hear the first reports of people who pissed the government off disappearing, I fail to see why people should start clamoring to set sail right away.

Many supporters of Ron Paul have been labelled as terrorists. If you ever watched Conspiracy theories on TruTV Jesse Ventura interviews a young woman who was a supporter of Ron Paul and she explained how she was kidnapped or arrested. Yea I think she was arrested.

Can I have a source on that? Also I think there's a reason that was put on Conspiracy Theories in the first place.
This is not too different from the Red Scare anyway, I agree it got bad during the McCarthy era, but that passed not too long after it got to the levels we're seeing now (fairly sure it actually got worse then this.)
Again gonna have to see a source on that. Also you do know quite a few of the more controversial Patriot Act amendments were gutted during the act's renewal around November of 2005.
Sounds like everyone in Norway is a woman.
Probably the viking genes that gave the women beards, that's why there are so many women in the government. The men are scared of them.

I suggest watching that whole episode. It's 100% facts. Why else would Jesse Ventura bring Alex Jones on the show?

In the video @ 6:00 the woman records footage of police arresting her for exercising her first amendment rights.

You do realize that show's meant to get views by giving the most sensational report on a conspiracy theory possible? I mean he does discuss FEMA camps as though they're a very real possibility. Did they give a name for her? Since I'm interested in looking that case up to see if there's a more reliable source on that incident.

Isn't Alex Jones the conspiracy theorist that thinks the US is setting up FEMA death camps and proceeds to give evidence (which was shot down fairly quickly on Facepunch no less) by showing videos of car-transporting train compartments and not-quite-abandoned railway stations where they'll supposedly begin herding us like animals so a small minority of the US can enact it's One World Order?

She gave enough information about herself that you could probably do some google searches to find her. I think she said she was a delagate for Ron Paul in the state of Missouri.

To be honest trying to look her up now, but not coming up with anything from any other source besides this one (did searches ranging from Catherine Ron Paul to Katherine Missouri Ron Paul Delegate.)
It doesn't sound too convincing when she begins to say, with a hushed ominous tone, "these facilities have been popping up, they call them 'Fusion Centers...'" That looked more like another case of a cop being stupid and doing what he wasn't supposed to do.

Then I can't really get any other sources to confirm her story other then a 2 minute account other then on a show built on sensationalizing conspiracy theories, which immediately follows up with giving serious credence to an Alex Jones "FEMA Death Camps" segment.

For some of the outlandish things he's said, he does make good points. He even did a story on HL2 because you are basically overthrowing a martial law government and you are the "Free Man". shit was pretty funny how deep he went into it.

Her name is Catherine Bleish.
On Oct. 2, Catherine Bleish was one of a handful of speakers who revved up a crowd of 2,000 at a Tea Party in St. Charles, Mo. Ten days later, she found herself in jail in the South St. Louis city of Maplewood.
From this site it sounds like she was arrested for filming an arrest at a pro-legalization rally and yelling some things at a police officer in the process. Stupid, but not unheard of before and more an example of how we need to reform the way the police force works in the US then the signs of a political dictatorship in the making.
But other then that, I also can't find any credible sources on her getting arrested for simply being a Ron Paul supporter.

OH SHIT SHE SUPPORTS DA 420

I don't understand the federal government's logic here?
This bullshit is okay but they feel the need to sue Arizona for asking citizens to prove their citizenship. Seems like the same sort of principle.
I'm already under the eye of the military and this going on top of it. People may be exaggerating, alright, but this is only a stepping stone to what happens next.

The government's far more likely to be inept and pass things out of stupidity without realizing the enormity of the true scale of their bills then doing it with a diabolical side mission to extract our freedoms one by one until we're living in some Orwellian Nightmare.
Unless a major corporation (most notably those that had a hand in SOPA) have a say in it, those are the ones you should look out for since they actually got the brainpower behind it.

I don't know man, they put a bunch of innocent Japanese people in camps during WW2. They could do it to us too.
We'll see what happens.
