I agree completely. Out of the 400 or so friends I had on facebook I barely knew most of them and out of the ones I did know I only liked about half of them which left me with about 4 people I actually talked too. I eventually just deactivated my account due to not really liking having information about other peoples lives shoved down my throat. Okay Sarah, I know Jill is your BFF4LIFE but you don't need to have gigantic public conversations with her about crap nobody cares about.
the thing i really hate about facebook, is that when i get asked if i have facebook, and i reply with "no", they can't fucking believe it. their jaws drop and i always get the same reply: "WHY NoOT!?!?!!" because i don't want one. everyone sees the need to have a facebook these days and when they find out i don't have one they look at me as if i'm an alien. i get offered to have a facebook made of myself at least once a week, and i get asked several times a week why i don't have one. FFffff
