Even all of the actors hated Season 4.
Even all of the actors hated Season 4.
No, they didn't hate it. I heard an interview with Allison Brie, and she said that while there were flaws, she still enjoyed doing it. Spitting on the face of Season 4 is ignoring the fact that it if it wasn't for it, we wouldn't have a Season 5. They kept the boat together until Harmon came back, and that's enough reason for me to give them my thanks.
Another trailer, it looks actually good:
Damn, the first trailer looked good. It seemed to have gone back to when it wasn't silly all the time and focused on the classes. This one looks about as ridiculous as Season 4.
New trailer!
New trailer!
Definitely loved that rip on how AMC forces Matthew Weiner to do those shitty, redundant previews for the next Mad Men.
Looks like our old Community is back http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-watching/review-community-returns-to-its-old-self-with-dan-harmon-back-in-charge
My biggest concern is that this season is going to be awesome, but all the people that hated Season 4 will have tuned out and it won't get enough ratings for a 6th season. NBC keeps trying to find excuses to get rid of Community.
I really hope it's going to be more like Season 1 not Season 3, which was very mediocre, almost like Season 4.

Lower ratings than previous seasons and tons of criticism from both critics and long time fans of the series make for the perfect excuse to cancel a series, yet here it is.
I wish netflix would just pick it up. Can you imagine waking up on Jan 2nd and all of season 5 was there available to watch. Jesus I wouldn't leave my house.
Aw shit, I just checked to see what time the show was on and learned that they're going to be showing two new episodes back to back. Shit's going to be so good.
More positive remarks about the fifth season. http://www.avclub.com/review/community-returns-200723

I really have no idea how Season 4 didn't sink the show
its on canadian netflix use hola unblocker
I think he meant he wishes Netflix were making Community so he could binge watch the entire season immediately.
I think he meant he wishes Netflix were making Community so he could binge watch the entire season immediately.
I don't. I hate Netflix's method. For me, it lacks the suspense of tuning in every week.
New episodes start in ~40 minutes!
that was pretty good now I'm pumped for the rest of the season
I wish they would have given them a 22-episode season. Also "let's hope the man doesn't arrest you for dreaming too big". The one-liners are back!
Would you say the new episode is more like season 1, or more like seasons 2-3?
Season 1.
Season 1.
I'll give it a watch then. Season 1 was my favorite.
I'll give it a watch then. Season 1 was my favorite.
Same here. Really loved Season 1. I haven't watched 3 or 4 yet though, but from what I've heard it probably won't change spots.
The bit with Nicolas Cage was bad, like Season 4 bad, but rest was absolutely hilarious. I forgot when I was laughing out loud on Community, and when I couldn't wait every week for the intro to come up. French bit had we in stitches. And meta references, so great ("Son of a bitch, after everything Scrubs did to him" said by Troy). [sp]And hey, even Chevy came back for a cameo, that's nice[/sp] Definitely worth watching now.
I thought the Nicholas Cage bit was actually pretty funny, Danny Pudi was great.
I thought the Nicholas Cage bit was actually pretty funny, Danny Pudi was great.
I thought it was really funny too. It was the only scene where I actually laughed out loud (which happens rarely for me), but I've also been told I have a shit sense of humor so what do I know
First episode was boring, second was very good. "My thoughts are French".
Abed overreacted, Nicholas Cage is clearly a good actor. I mean, except on bad movies, cause then he's just bad. But there are bad movies where Cage's good. I-I mean, hold on. No, wait. It doesn't make sense. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!
abed's cage meltdown was awkward town [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] and not in a good cage way
