Uh...? Try not too think about it too much and just enjoy the jams when their in the right order :3
Realize that all of those words you think you hear, arn't really there. Your mind just makes you think they are. Unless you're listening to that one pink floyd song, ya know, the one with the contest hint in the middle of it? Yeah.
There is also one (I don't remember the artist) that in the end there is a reversed message on purpose that says "Clean your room. Do you homework." and shit like that.
Google "backmasking" click the link that says stairway to heaven backwards it lets you listen to a part of the songs with or without subtitles
I listened to this ages ago so since then I forgot most of what it's meant to say. I listened to it just now and needless to say, I could only hear the shit that I remember is supposed to be in there. So basically, as already mentioned a few times, it's bullshit. Don't worry about it because chances are, unless it's deliberate, you won't hear messages in songs backwards unless someone tells you what you should be hearing.

Never listen to music ever again.
imagine cute little kittens singing the backmasked lyrics? maybe that'll help.
I COMMAND YOU, BY THE BOWELS OF LUCIFER, TO SPREAD THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT! Thank you so much for reminding me of Little Nicky. Anyway, there are two ways to get over a fear, either gradual or rapid exposure. Gradual exposure is slowly edging into it, so in the case of heights, it would be slowly going higher and higher off the ground. Rapid exposure is just plain throwing yourself in at the deep end, with a "Fuck it, I'm just gonna do it" mindset. After a while, you'll get used to it. I'd recommend gradual exposure, unless you feel up to rapid. If you do use rapid exposure, I won't be held responsible if you shit yourself.
Listen to Barenaked Ladies, all they have are sappy love songs :sax:
This will not get your title back napkin boy!!

USE YOUR FUCKING HEAD yeah
listen & watch this numerous times, you won't fear it anymore.
Funny thing is, I can understand what they're saying because I'm Dutch :v:
You hear what you want to hear.
There's two more. That's the most prominent one, though.
That makes me want to play HL2, no matter how terrifying it is. Also, OP, listen to this one!
I remember in spy kids, there were these floops or whatever, they were freaky things drawn by kids, they were really creepy. If that wasn't bad enough, their voices were backwards, it was really freaky. [editline]10:13PM[/editline] I still have some nightmares about those.

I need a serious answer here
I need a serious answer here
Listen to them forwards?... Just a suggestion.
I need a serious answer here
and start stealing napkins again.
This isn't meant to be in the music section, it's about my fear of back-masked songs rather then the research of it. If there's one thing I fear its back-masked songs that have messages. For those of you who don't know what I mean it is basically well, ever seen Little Nicky? Basically that is what back-masking is, playing a song backwards in order to find messages. Now before you call me a pro-religious idiot that thinks The Beatles and KISS are satanic, I want you to know I don't think this. This is the shit that keeps me up at night just because the very thought of it. And if you still don't what I'm talking about or want more of an example then here: Songs with "messages": Stairway to Heaven Revolution 9 I'm only posting those two because the very action of googleing more songs like this creep me out like shit. So facepunch how can I get over this fear?
I must say, thats a damn odd fear you have. I really don't see whats so scary about it.

Here's what I discovered... If you play Soulja Boy backwards then you get unintelligible mess. But if you play that backwards again then you get unintelligible mess that can corrupt the minds of children.
I-Doser...
I-Doser...
What?
I tried to respond to this thread last night but the internet went down at the worst possible time. I will admit, I had a similar fear to this several years ago after hearing a supposed backmasked message in a Britney Spears song (which I recently found out to be fake). I can seriously empathise. It wasn't helped when just as I started to get over it, my sister and I fell for a screamer based on another supposed hidden message. But over time, the fear just wore away again. I still think they're creepy, but nowhere near as much as I used to.
well the OP can start by not listening to backwards songs
i cant imagine how terrified you are, OP, what with people walking around playing ongs backwards all the time. might i suggest listening to the songs the way they are supposed to be listened to?

That is a valid answer.
