Or someone just stole it, they were clearly inexperienced in driving with a trailer.
That's what I figure. He was jacking that boat. [editline]22nd January 2017[/editline]
Welcome to Newcastle, where every driver is shit. Uploaded one the other day after coming off the Freeway heading into Wallsend. 4:47 fucking Adamstown. I always get nervous when driving up to that part hate it so much.
Watching driving on the left side of the round makes me physically nervous coming from America.
I've driven on both sides of the road. I usually take a mediumly-slow paced drive around the block for 5 mins or so to get used to it, but afterwards its just driving as usual. I really love how roundabouts work in Australia/Malaysia/probably the whole Commonwealth Nations (and hopefully most of the world). If its a two lane roundabout you pick which lane you want to be in corresponding to which direction you want to go before even entering it. There's a conservation of flow and everyone knows where everyone is going. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32814946/BxiwsuZCIAMU83B.jpg large.jpg[/t] Spanish ones in the other hand work by going straight into the innermost lane and the first car that enters gets priority going into the outer lane and then exiting the roundabout. Which involves changing lanes in the roundabout and if some douche decided to cut you or the guy up a head is too slow/decides to change his mind you would either have to slow down or go for another round. It is heavily dependent on people actually using their turn signals and as we all know there is a global chronic case of assheads who don't use them. Wtf is this shit. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32814946/roundabout.jpg[/t]
Try having one walk across your dashboard while driving, happened to me once.
I remember finding a spider in my engine bay once and just went "eh it'll go away once I start driving" motherfucker found its way through the firewall and creeped up into the footwell.
You could do a video with any other country and it would look the same.
No, I've driven in a few countries and Australia is by far the worst when it comes to dumb drivers. I don't know how or why, but people are just so fucking agressive when it comes to driving and simply don't give a shit.
my goal in life is to appear on a dashcam compilation doing some kind of hoon shit like 3 wheeling my truck through a roundabout or doing a donut in the middle of the road
I've often wondered if an FP member was one these bad drivers and admitted to it, would you give them shit for it?
I've often wondered if an FP member was one these bad drivers and admitted to it, would you give them shit for it?
I imagine it would hinge on if it was an honest mistake vs. blatant shitheadery along with how they act about it in said thread.

Jesus Christ that looks like a mess and an accident waiting to happen
I need a dashcam, as far as Colorado goes, the roads are pretty much a lawless wasteland. The only difference between CO and the shit I see in this video is that we don't have giganto spiders and people don't try as hard to kill themselves.
Does Australia have the same laws regarding dashcams as they do in Russia, like you need one to prove you weren't at fault in an accident? I swear, it's like Russia & Australia produce the most dashcam videos. Also the dude blaring Eurobeat while sitting in traffic at 2:28
Where was the spider in the video? This spider talk is making me nervous, reminding me of the time there was a nest of hornets in my dad's car one day and we went on a several hour drive and didn't realize it until we got to where we was going.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32814946/roundabout.jpg[/t]
Navigating one of these must be fun during rush hour. Blind Spot The Movie: Electric Boogaloo
What the literal fuck is this shit Can you seriously just go wherever on a roundabout as long as you signal for it? Jesus Christ that looks like a mess and an accident waiting to happen
Well, you have to give way to your right (in a LHD country) when entering a round-a-bout.. but, pretty much, yeah.
I swear roundabouts only exist to justify Civil Engineers' expenditures in college. I may be dense (and feel free to explain to me if I'm wrong) but I can't think of a situation where a roundabout couldn't function just as well as a 4+way intersection with stop signs or traffic lights. Maybe it's supposed to ease traffic by flowing more smoothly, but every time I've been in one someone's being a dickbag. We have two where I work, and people regularly turn left into them. (We're RHD.)
I have to disagree, Roundabouts work pretty well, it may seem confusing but even people with half a brain are able to work out how to use them. It allows traffic to flow a lot smoother. I've only gone the wrong way around one once and that was when I was learning. I imagine it might take a bit of getting use to if you're use to 4 way intersections. I'm so use to roundabouts that a 4 way intersection seems kinda confusing to me. We have a lot of 2 way intersections here but no 4 ways. [editline]24th January 2017[/editline] Good video that explains things better then me.
That actually explains a lot. People in America can be very dumb on the roads, and the amount of pure refusal to cooperate is unlike any other place I've seen. Common sense on the roads is just not a thing. I also think it has to do with the fact that learning to drive here isn't a very involved process, it's almost entirely just the honor system that you've practiced x hours until your driving exam, which is a one-time, less than a half hour car ride. Our entire freeway system is a complete mess simply because people will either merge at half the speed limit, or simply won't let other cars in, to the point of forcing them off the road. I imagine if we had one of those magic roundabouts here, it'd be locked up just about any time there's traffic.

Even though I love these kind of videos, it's makes me grateful of people not being this level of crazy in traffic here. :v:
they're good for high flow traffic but there's 2 off an exit near me that made the whole thing take way longer to get through because there was hardly any traffic there to begin with
If its an intersection though, the other options are forcing stopping with stop signs, giving one road priority with give ways or some pick'n'mix of both with traffic lights (obviously with smart lights this can get the best of both worlds), right? Main case i can see for roundabouts actually fucking low traffic situations for the worse would be a heavily loaded road intersecting with a significantly lower traffic road -- and that it stays like this even during peak.

The amount of people just driving over a red light is staggering. Not even like "I barely can make it red light" (which there were some). I'm talking about those who drove into a busy intersection while it is red. Whats going on in their mind. Also those people driving on the wrong side must be from outside of Australia right?

[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32814946/roundabout.jpg[/t]
The ones I've been on are much simpler than that. One lane, people in the roundabout have ROW, and you just sorta signal and exit whenever you reach the one you want. No real way to fuck it up. It's fairly sizeable and has parking spaces along its rim and is known in the area as the 'town square'. Well, it's known as that because it is the town square. Or, was, before the motor car. Lebanon's oldest buildings reside on it. It's also a tourist attraction. [t]http://content.mediastg.net/dynamic//realestate/company/280/account/365755/photo.jpg[/t] They freshly remodelled the thing, that's what it looks like currently. A couple years ago it encircled a fairly large parking lot around that statue thing. You're not really gonna get lost in that thing, you're not gonna have much of a chance to cut someone off by taking the wrong lane. It actually does work, though, and I rarely see anyone fucking it up. If someone does, nine times out of ten, it's because they didn't properly yield entering or exiting(To pedestrians). And they're gonna do that no matter the kind of intersection you have. I will say I prefer a good old fashioned four way light, though. Takes up less room.
That actually explains a lot. People in America can be very dumb on the roads, and the amount of pure refusal to cooperate is unlike any other place I've seen. The basic skills necessary to drive a car aren't that complicated and, while lax, there's enough instruction available from just watching everyone else to get a sufficient gist of the idea that you won't end up killing anyone. The problem is more in the mindset that such easy license acquisition creates. Because we treat driving almost like a right, as a requirement to function in this country, people get it in their heads that it actually is a right and that they actually are entitled to the road. Entitlement is, of course, very problematic and seldom stays in one place, so soon they believe they are entitled not only to the use of the road, but that they are entitled to right of way. And that causes the refusal to cooperate you're observing. I see it too. I'm one of those wierdos that does try to cooperate, that doesn't fly around like their arse is on fire. And it's goddamn hilarious to see these entitled shits getting pissed beyond belief over the fact that someone actually has the audacity to drive in a sane and sensible manner, that they plan their route far enough in advance that they never have to make last minute dives for turns, that they get on and off the freeway properly, that they don't block intersections, all that jazz.

They're usually the people who park their Nissan Titans across three spaces at the market, sideways.

I live in this town and the magic roundabout works amazingly, pretty straight forward and traffic flows really well through it.

Bitch it's a truck, if it ain't dinged right to hell within six months you ain't using it like it's designed to be used. Betchya the people who park like that also tend to be the 'FORWARD HO' RoW hogs. It's all the same thing: Entitlement. They don't feel like they should share the road, they feel like it is theirs to use as they wish. It's a shame we can't ticket for that directly, with the fines proportional to how entitled the act is.
I'm surprised I never see any taxi drivers on these dash cam videos, some of them drive like crazy. Drifting into the wrong lane, leaving the indicators for left and going right, forcing their way in front of buses.
I've often wondered if an FP member was one these bad drivers and admitted to it, would you give them shit for it?
Todd's been on dashcam owners before, but it wasn't bad driving per say. Just slippery roads and mistakes were made

Basically being a selfish cunt.
