Woah, Carl Sagan overload. First he does the "Dragon in my garage" thing.

Rant incoming.
OP's video has so many things wrong with it.
My reason for ranting is us as Christians tell atheists about all these unexplained miracles yet they don't pay attention. The Bible has plenty of stories of hypocrites that resemble to the people we have to put up with today.
I don't usually go out and announce my religion, but when the atheists attack first, confirmation vows state that we have to defend. Nobody's trying to convert anyone here, I just want atheists to stop picking on our beliefs. It also pains me to see the stupider Christians run around with YouTube and Twitter accounts and attack any other religion they lay their eyes on, rather than stay quiet and fend off anyone that challenges them first.
And about Christians not listening to OP's video, he didn't bring up many valid arguments as to why the faith is false, instead he merely talked about how dumb everyone is who don't think the same way he does, or explaining why and how he's going to disprove, stuffing an 11-minute video with 70% filler and 30% content.
Something coming from nothing? When it comes to me, he's attacking a neutral point of view. I can't explain why God just APPEARED, I can only believe in it because Christianity seemed right to me about a lot of other things.
The Bible was NOT written by God or Jesus. People who followed him had the same scientific ideas as everyone else at the time: the Earth is flat, space is a body of water, and what is a dinosaur? If Jesus had ever said anything that conflicts with today's knowledge, let me know. On top of that, how can we tell that what he said then that doesn't fit with our ideas today isn't going to be correct due to new discoveries that we make in the future?
I'm not trolling here. I don't want to start a flame war. I just want all the personal criticism and stupid accusations to stop. Go ahead and reply to this post; I am eager to see what you have to say.

Last time I Took a science class, they told me that the big bang was still just a theory, and that evolution has a little more evidence, but it also is a theory still.
both are theories- however, a scientific theory is basically the highest status a hypothesis can get. they're pretty much regarded as fact unless dis-proven
the big bang is an observation that because the universe is expanding, it must have started at a single point. it is, on some level, fact.
evolution is another observation that is completely true as well- that genes mutate when an organism reproduces, and over millions of years the result is many different, varied creatures that have been heavily influenced by their environment. it's like, the 2+2 of biology.
I'm agnostic.
But regardless of that, this guy is annoying.

Technically Shock's response is correct, he did alter and dance around the question. You can't exactly prove one theory by disproving another. Sure he pointed out all the flaws in Christianity, but he never really gave any evidence that atheism is correct.
Sure Christianity is more illogical than Atheism, but that doesn't necessarily make Atheism scientifically "true," or however you want to go about it.
Any sane Atheist will be able to admit he is just as likely to be wrong as a Christian or Muslim, though his choice in my opinion is still the most logical. Sadly, most Atheists on this board are just as if not more ignorant than the typical Christian.
Atheists and Christians seem like tape recorders to me, all they do is repeat what they heard someone else say at some point.
It's really hard choosing what to believe. Christianity knocks on atheism and atheism knocks on Christianity. Christianity has an actual outcome if you believe in it atheism does not.

miracles, or coincidences? don't be so certain that they're the former.

in this video, he's responding to somebody who has attacked him. i really don't think you can apply that argument here.

he was explaining how the christian god is falsifiable- and how the more specific your definition of a god is, the easier it is to disprove it. depending on how literally you take the bible. if you consider it to be a completely flawless, truthful book, and somebody points out a huge contradiction or scientific error that completely invalidates a certain attribute of your god, they've dis-proven a part of the god, unless you're ridiculously thick and refuse to acknowledge these errors. the more vague your description of god is, the harder it is to disprove, eventually to the point where it's a harmless, personal belief that doesn't even require disproving because it does not matter.
when the god is clearly defined, and has terrible rules (such as homosexuality being a sin) that are written down in a book considered "perfect" by many, it becomes a legitimate issue due to people trying to shoehorn these beliefs in to the legal system.

there's no neutral point of view regarding theism. you can say you don't know, but that's true for everyone. if you don't believe in god, you're an atheist, and if you do, you're a theist.
the bible actually claims to have been written by god, using men as a proxy.
plus, i don't think you fit in to the category of people he's arguing against here, if you disregard most of the stuff the bible says.

i think you're viewing this wrongly. he said in the video that he can't prove atheism, and admits he could be wrong. he is merely asserting that you should not immediately assume your view is correct, either.
plus, you can't really fault atheism until a god is proven, seeing as it's just a default position, and lack of belief. which is why asking somebody to prove that it's true is sort of silly, considering the viewpoint the person holds likely requires more evidence.

agnostic is neutral
atheist means you believe there's probably no god
agnostic is neutral

agnosticism is the belief that nobody can know whether or not god exists; it's not a fencesitting position, it overlaps theism and atheism.
if you do not believe in god, you are an atheist. regardless of whether or not you're an agnostic.
(also, you're thinking of anti-theism. atheism is the lack of belief in god, theism is belief that god does not exist, as well as opposition towards the idea of god.)
Did anyone else notice that shock of god guy has a ton of call of duty videos?
I also love it how some of them are "Christian gamer pwns AthiestMcSuckAss". That's about as bad as "I'm a girl gamer, deal with it".

there is no strict definition, though I see "apathetic agnostic" used as a standalone, and atheism to only include those who are inclined to believe they are none, far more frequently. The only people I see reference all irreligious as atheists are other atheists. I prefer the separation because "don't know don't care" is very different from what most people think of when they hear "atheist".
It's really hard choosing what to believe. Christianity knocks on atheism and atheism knocks on Christianity. Christianity has an actual outcome if you believe in it atheism does not.
Believing in something just because of the religion's rewards and benefits sounds like a very bad idea - believe what you think is true.
(also, you're thinking of anti-theism. atheism is the lack of belief in god, theism is belief that god does not exist, as well as opposition towards the idea of god.)
Uh. IIRC thats' wrong. A theist believes in a god. An atheist believes in the exact opposite (hence the A in front of it), that there is no god.
More like The Amazing Atheist - Proving that causing shitstorms on Facepunch is easy

You're kind of trailing of on some weird tangent. To the last part, I don't think that you are going to find out the earth was really flat all along.
Actually your whole point here is retarded.
You first state that it's not written by god or jesus and then say it has divine wisdom.
If you choose to say that god did write it or "posses" someone to write it, then god lacks a great deal of knowledge on the shape of the earth.
If you choose to say that god didn't write it, then why not believe in harry potter?
