I've heard the opposite from many people.
[Note: I have tried neither N,N,DMT nor 5-MeO-DMT]
5-MeO-DMT is supposedly a lot less visual, and a lot "darker." Many people describe it as experiencing death and ending up in a void outside of time and space. Perhaps exaggerated (by the drug, not the user) ego death?
Having visited The Void on Salvia, I'm not too keen on trying 5-MeO-DMT. At least, not now.

Having your mind blown all over the walls isn't as harmful to your health as it sounds.
I heard 5-Meo-DMT mixes very well with other longer lasting psyches, and by that I mean it's darkness get's removed when smoked on psyche like 2C-I and so on.
