Does anyone know of more tricks like this?
The only one I can think of is dock leaf helping nettle stings. I think everyone knows that one though.

Herbal medicine has quite a few good cures, but modern medicine can often do a whole lot better so you shouldn't just rely on it for the sake of it being "natural".
One thing that is quite funny with Homeopathy is that the whole principal behind it was just made up by some guy.
He noticed that a malaria cure that people were using, caused malaria-like symptoms in healthy people. From this one observation he decided that this would be the same for everything.
My guess that the ridiculous dilutions came from the fact that the more diluted it is, the less it poisons you.
Placebo. But your comment about herbal remedies is a load of bullshit. They generally work because an "active ingredient" in them binds to some receptor in your body.
I would have known more about this if I hadn't dropped chemistry just as I started that section.
We should kill a load of homeopaths - by their logic, their effects will be stronger the less of them there are!
We'd be doing them a favour!
hey man, don't diss herbal shit. lots of cures and remedies can come from plants and herbs you can find in the wilderness, some'll kill ya though. blame those stupid homeopathy new age fucks.
blame homeopathy for HEADON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD
HEADON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD
HEADON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD
HEADON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD
HEADON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD
the sad part is herbs and medicines from the wild can be quite effective but now it's all considered bogus due to - again - homeopathy and new age fucks.
Head On is headache medicine
Head On is headache medicine
They actually showed that the amount of medicine in the stick isn't enough to do anything
come back when you find a way to synthesise digitalis mmkay
Digitalis is a genus of the plantae kingdom. I don't see how thats related to synthesizing drugs.
As for synthesizing DIGOXIN, we don't have to, since mass-farming the plants that produce it is easier. However theres tons of drugs that were originally found in nature and we began to synthesize or farm in unnatural ways (insulin?).
Oh, my bad, googling it says that we also synthesize Digoxin.

Where is that video of the asian woman explaining homeopathy and saying all the mass in the universe is infinitesimal so E = c instead of E = mc^2 or some absurdly stupid shit? I remember /sci/ used to rage at it all the time.

The only herbal medicine that really has any credibility is cannabis.
The only herbal medicine that really has any credibility is cannabis.
That's not really a medicine.
There are few things on Earth I want less than you in charge.
So you are saying everything below humanity then. So I guess a computer then.
I really wonder whether the people who push homeopathy are frauds or are really just that stpuid.
Medicine: Engineers chemicals that, when ingested or otherwise inserted in the body, cause it to regain the level of health it previously had, or just improves it.
Herbal medicine: Use chemicals naturally formed by plants other than man-made chemicals.
Homeopathy: HUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
That's not really a medicine.
It's by no means some form of cure-all as people claim but it does have use for treating chronic pain.
I made a thread about this a while ago. My aunt "prescribes" homeopathic "medicine" :airquote: to people for a living.
Why people think it works is beyond me. It doesn't show any results compared to placebo, let alone does it make logical sense.
It's by no means some form of cure-all as people claim but it does have use for treating chronic pain.
While it has use for treating pain there are other alternatives which do not need to be smoked.

Oh God. Sound is string-vibration, the mass of any body is 0+, therefore E = (0+).c.c = c.
While it has use for treating pain there are other alternatives which do not need to be smoked.
It doesn't have to be smoked, it can be eaten.
It's also a very cheap alternative to other pain relievers.
Quoting one of my favorite poems.
Do you know what they call homeopathic medicines that have been proven to work? Medicines. Earlier I took a pill I picked up for a buck at the local drug store, made from the bark of a willow tree. What was it called. Masprin, dasprin, oh! Asprin.
Some of them work, some don't.
Quoting one of my favorite poems.

That isn't Homeopathic medicine.
Homeopathic would be: "some water that has a slim chance of once touching some willow bark"
Everybody, including me up until recently, seems to mix up homeopathic and herbal.
While it has use for treating pain there are other alternatives which do not need to be smoked.
Yea but its still a medicine and according to many people cannabis is the best way (for them at least) to deal with pain like chemo. Besides it doesn't have to be smoked and even if it is who cares?
The only herbal medicine that really has any credibility is cannabis.

wrogn
It's hardly that harsh to punish those who take advantage of the ill/desperate.
It's exploiting people, nothing more.
(Homeopathy is anyway some herbal medicines work (less effectively than modern medicines), shit a lot of modern medicines are derived from them)
Homeopathy worked for me, but it was only honey on one of my wounds a while back. As far as I know, honey is a natural antiseptic.

That isn't homeopathy. Where are you people getting the idea that homeopathic medicine is anything that doesn't come in a pill or syrup?
Homeopathy worked for me, but it was only honey on one of my wounds a while back. As far as I know, honey is a natural antiseptic.
Please go read about what homeopathy is
I made a post with big letters on the first page somewhere about it
