Yes, I know it would be out of budget.
But to be honest, if you aren't going to put information that's gonna help find you (if the kitten gets lost, and a stranger finds it) then it's not worth the risk that follows by having a collar on a cat.
Unless the policy against unmarked cats is different in USA than it is in Denmark of course.
Anyway, what ever you do, it's your choice :)

Actually I say we raise enough so that just in case you do get caught with the cat you can actually afford the $75 (right amount) fine.

Also, I'd start dividing up the money into "Food/Essentials," "Shots," and "Spaying" just so you don't over-spend on one area.
Also OP you should look into getting your landlord or whomever to modify your lease for a cat. If they aren't an asshole they'll do it
