I check this thread every day just to see if there are any updates on Raisin. :3:
Me too mang Helping out feels good man
DONT I REPEAT DONT BUY A CAT TOY FROM THE PET STORE. All you need is string, a straw, and catnip. Just take a straw. Right now. Set it next to your cat. Does he do anything? If not, then poke him a little with it, or put it near his face. He should attack it. Catnip is one thing you can grow and/or buy and cats will love it. Fill an old sock with newspaper and sprinkle some catnip in it. He will absolutely go bananas over it.
dude you really have to start a blog for it. With a cheap host, i think people can raise $15 a month easy. and with Wordpress. This will be the coolest cat on the web! also, since im only a young teen im going to see if i can get a pre-paid credit card to donate :-)
I'll happily host a blog for you if you decide to create one.
Oh god catnip videos would be awesome.
Donations huh? I guess we're RAISIN' FOR RAISIN.
Why has someone JUST came up with this. This should have been said pages ago. It seems obvious.
I will be able to donate again in a week or so. :3: [editline]08:51AM[/editline] Why not a custom collar I could happily pay for it if you manage to find a vendor.
I find it quite interesting that some people prefer to donate to a cat than starving children.
I find it quite interesting that some people prefer to donate to a cat than starving children.
Start a thread for feeding starving children then.
Start a thread for feeding starving children then.
Why would I?
Because you seem to consider it an important issue.
Because you seem to consider it an important issue.
You seem to be unable to interpret a simple sentence. All I said is I found it interesting, I never promoted a side.
You seem to be unable to interpret a simple sentence. All I said is I found it interesting, I never promoted a side.
Then why say it at all?
Then why say it at all?
Am I not allowed to state my opinion or view without choosing a side? All you're doing now is making pointless posts.
I'm most likely not the only one who read your first sentence as an implication that Facepunch are more sympathetic to kittens than to starving children. Which, I wouldn't necessarily say is wrong. Anyways, a thread like this allows Facepunch to help someone directly rather than send money to some hunger organization and not see any real reward for their donation in the long run.
How much money you got so far.

Donations are called donations for various reasons, one of them being that there are no rewards. Simply bettering your self conscious is the reward. Anyway, the clear fact of choosing a feline over our own species, humans, is quite interesting physiology. It almost goes against nature.

A cause, is what I meant. And while "bettering your self conscious" should be the reward, people would like to see directly what the money will be going to instead of just sending it in and hoping it goes to the actual cause instead of going to the employees of the organization's "lunch fund". At least, that's why I've never donated to a far off charity. There's no real way of knowing what the money is being used for. I'd like to see for myself what my money is going to.

It's the fact that given a clear choice, some would help an animal over a human being. Don't confuse the corruption of charity's that cause a decrease in donations from a human making a clear choice of choosing to help an animal over another human being.
This would make very good Public Relations for Garry and the website. And see how sterling our community is
When I get my next "paycheck", Imma going to donate half to Raisin :3:

Not in the sense of achievement, but in our way of life. People do bad things and while children aren't guilty of this, it's easier to sympathize with animals who seemingly can do no wrong no matter how old they are. That's my assumption though. Maybe kitties are just cuter than babies.
