I guess Retro was just more interested in making a realistic looking experience than Team Ninja is. Watching it again though I don't really think this game looks too bad. Also I still think Ridley looks dumb. Really not too interested in this, even though that US advert is rad and I'm a fan of pretty much any Metroid game. I'll wait to hear how good the game actually is. There's been a few reviews already giving it 8 and 9's, hopefully the rest will be as positive.

For some reason they think that a good way to advertise, is to have people speak in their adverts, but then dub over them so that they're probably saying something completely different, so you get an advert with a bunch of fucking ventriloquists and it's shit. This is how all wii games are advertised here. They all seem to use the same voiceover guy too, and all generally tell you about the features of the game rather than be nicely constructed with good cinematography. Maybe our nintendo advertisers have a more realistic view of the Wii's market (housewives and <10 year olds) than their American equivalent. As for the actual game, I don't really care, in my opinion nintendo should euthanise all their franchises and create a new IP for the first time in 20 years. I fucking loathe DIY shop adverts in particular, particularly Homebase's.
