Hey guys, I'm rich, I don't want to be taxed, though, because I worked hard for my money. Uhp, now what?
everyone should shut up and read the social contract theory by John Locke rich people live in the same society as poor people
I figured that was more concerned with the politically powerful and their kinship with the common workers, but in this case I can see the similarity.
everyone should shut up and read the social contract theory by John Locke rich people live in the same society as poor people
this pretty much sums up the thread bro
One things for sure, scrap fucking ema. You'll know what I mean if I live in the UK.
Hey guys, I'm rich, I don't want to be taxed, though, because I worked hard for my money. Uhp, now what?
lol
I used to not have an opinion because I didn't work and pay taxes but now I do. If you want radically lower taxes or a flat tax you're out of your mind and that's all there is to it.
conservatives have the most twisted fucking view of the economic stance of the united states, seriously i was talking to a righteously conservative kid who was bitching (At the same time) that the federal government wasn't going to give him enough money to go to school at UConn (35k / year for out of state) and also that taxes are too high i was just like jesus FUCK are you retarded beyond belief op reminds me of this kid
This. Except for some Libertarians, most Conservatives are idiots. Uhp, now what?
Yeah, I bet you are working WAY harder than coal miners and shit, right? I mean fuck those guys all they do is risk their lives every day to get the shit you need to power your goddamn iPhone and shit. Fuck those dickheads down there in the mines dying and shit. Those bitches got it EASY compared to straight thuggin' middle class bitches like we folks!!! :smug:

The Conservatives tried introducing it in the UK (Well, they introduced it in Scotland). It ended up with 98% of the populace against it, 30% of people refusing to pay and led to a massive riot in London. Oh, and ruined the reputation of the Conservative government, and resulted in Margaret Thatcher essentially being forced to step down.
Im sorry op but you have showed many times that you have no idea what you are talking about 1 yout hink that the poor are lazy. most poor people work the hardest and get paid the least. my mother gets paid 7$ an hour for wipping the asses of old folks and the reason why she cant go to college and get a better job is because she doesnt have the money and even if she did she cant just quit her job. 2 you said you really want everyone to pay the same amount of taxes wich is just kinda stupid in and of its self and i dont even have to explain. and 3rd when you said rich people earn there money then it just shows that you need to get out and see how the world really is
What about a sales tax hike, unless you're paying online, sales tax is automatically added into payment when you purchase something.

The poor aren't lazy, I agree. However, they do have one disadvantage. They lack the education. Education is necessary for higher paying and more important jobs. Sure, the working lower class is critical to get us through our day to day lives. But without lawyers, doctors, and businessmen, we'd be just as fucked. 2. Not the same amount of taxes, the same percentage. Qutie the difference. 3. Rich people do earn "there" money. They take quite a bit of time out of their lives(time they could be spending earning wages at a low end, unskilled job), and use it to get an education, allowing them to further the spread and advancement of technology, culture, and other shit. SOME rich people are just trust fund babies or things like that, but that's a small percentage. Most of them earn "there" way in life, just in a different way than the poor. You play the guitar on that MTV. That ain't workin', that's the way you do it Turns out, that is working. That's advancing the culture of society. And that's really what matters, that and technological advancement. While the lower class workers are important, they aren't remembered. It's the innovators, the inventors, those who create science and culture and technology, that really matter.
he said in a later post that he really thinks rich people should have to pay the same amount in money as poor and yes they do work for there money, but not more then the average person and the jobs they have are not as horrible, also i would like to say that most scientist would still do there job if they got payed a lot less (thats one of the reasons i love science) same with other people that advance culture
well yes, but they get paid more because their job is more important in some ways, and requires an education(an expensive thing).
well yes, but they get paid more because their job is more important in some ways, and requires an education(an expensive thing).
yea but when i meant they dont work as much by how hard the work is
hey piggy please get an avatar, i can't take a dogass seriously even though I know i should take you seriously
yea but when i meant they dont work as much by how hard the work is
so easier(skill-wise) labor should pay less and be considered less work than harder labor that requires thinking and use of your brain?
so easier(skill-wise) labor should pay less and be considered less work than harder labor that requires thinking and use of your brain?
well then there is the point were you can just put money in the bank and get money off of money. and then there are the people in the trade industry that do not give anything to the world and while i would like to say that banker isnt really helping anyone, its more of a job that puts you in power that gives you money [editline]03:04AM[/editline]
hey piggy please get an avatar, i can't take a dogass seriously even though I know i should take you seriously
are u happy now?

They provide a useful service.
i would say they hurt the world in the l9ong run but whatever, also people in the oil industry and stuff like that who make money while not helping the world in the long run
Oil industry: not that oil is a key part of pretty much fucking everything, not at all.
Damn, Double post.
either way my main point is that op think that the poor are lazy and should not get the tax breaks and all that and im saying he doesnt have an idea about what hes talking about
Tax inelastic goods. for MAXIMUM REVENUE. :eng101: Honors Economics 1 :eng101:
Tax inelastic goods. for MAXIMUM REVENUE. :eng101: Honors Economics 1 :eng101:
hell yes that is how to minmax revenue for GREAT JUSTICE
either way my main point is that op think that the poor are lazy and should not get the tax breaks and all that and im saying he doesnt have an idea about what hes talking about
Agreed. Example: Farmers don't make much that money but they work hard for that little amount of income they make for something that everyday Americans will be using.
I'm fine with high taxes, as long as they go to good use. I'd rather pay high taxes like Sweden, and get back healthcare, and university education, then pay American taxes, where almost half my tax money goes to defense spending. [editline]11:19PM[/editline]
Agreed. Example: Farmers don't make much that money but they work hard for that little amount of income they make for something that everyday Americans will be using.
Farming in most of America is only profitable because of government subsidies. :sigh: Basically it fucks over the rest of the world, because they can't export food to us, since the price of ours is artificially lowered.
I'm fine with high taxes, as long as they go to good use. Farming in most of America is only profitable because of government subsidies. :sigh:
Pretty much. That's why the corporate farms are the only ones that are going to survive really.
High tax on the rich, low on the poor.
25% flat sales tax applied in the same manner as VAT, where the consumer never actually sees the tax. Apply this to every kind of sale that takes place. Apply larger tax returns to those making less. And no tax for life for military/LE/FD Remove all other forms of taxes. I'm not saying my way is right or the best, I'm just throwing my opinion out there.
