jeez guys you have to understand religious metaphor it's not even that deep of a movie, it just says getting rid of religion doesn't get rid of violence but the plot is pretty much just filler
I just watched and I liked it a lot :buddy:
Look. This movie had several points that could be interpreted as a religious or Christian message. But it was never, ever, in your face, and it could easily be interpreted some other way. It's a movie about a man trying to keep an immense power from falling into the wrong hands. The film could easily be cast as a message against organized religion.
The message is simple: 'True hope saves/False hope can be controlled' Eli gave Salara true hope when she only saw hopelessness. And Gary Oldman's character wanted to give false hope to control the masses.
I really liked the ending. [sp]Was he really blind the whole movie? After looking back, and the ending when it shows his eyes, it seems he was? [/sp]
I saw it, it was good, I liked it a lot more than The Road.

[/sp]
Yeah he pretty much was [sp]blind[/sp]. [sp]Since he was one of the original survivors of the nuclear bombs, and almost everyone else who was a survivor was blind, it can be easily inferred that he was.[/sp]
