it's not even that deep of a movie, it just says getting rid of religion doesn't get rid of violence but the plot is pretty much just filler

The message is simple: 'True hope saves/False hope can be controlled'

Eli gave Salara true hope when she only saw hopelessness. And Gary Oldman's character wanted to give false hope to control the masses.

Yeah he pretty much was [sp]blind[/sp].

[sp]Since he was one of the original survivors of the nuclear bombs, and almost everyone else who was a survivor was blind, it can be easily inferred that he was.[/sp]
