Broken tags
nvm, there we go

Fixed. Sorry, long day.
Oddly adorable.
The best kind of adorable.
"Morays have poor vision and rely mostly on their acute sense of smell, making distinguishing between fingers and held food difficult; numerous divers have lost fingers while attempting hand feedings, so the hand feeding of moray eels has been banned in some locations, including the Great Barrier Reef. The moray's rear-hooked teeth and primitive but strong bite mechanism also makes bites on humans more severe, as the eel cannot release its grip, even in death, and must be manually pried off. While the majority are not believed to be venomous, circumstantial evidence suggests a few species may be."
it's only a matter of time...
Animals are so fucking cool.
I want a silverback gorilla, that would be ballin.
That thing is fucking huge.

It's all fun and games until they bite you, and you realize they're the fucking xenomorphs.
That was fucking adorable in the oddest of ways.
I've never, ever heard of any species of the eel family impressing in any way, and this just strikes me as bizarre and amazing.
i came in here expecting that brushie brushie pic with the eel
cute story though
Of course the eel likes you for the time being, you just gave him some free food.
That was cute :3
that one was just an odd case, if they bite you you have to cut their heads off to get free

D-Did you even watch the video?
D-Did you even watch the video?
Yes..
I am terrified of eels.
That eel seemed friendly but i'm not sure if the food influenced its behavior. Most animal seem more friendly when food is involved.

Probably helped she was wearing bright pink diving suit.

Well... Yeah. A dog wouldn't stick around your place either if you didn't feed it.
That eel seemed friendly but i'm not sure if the food influenced its behavior. Most animal seem more friendly when food is involved.
Wouldn't you be friendly to someone who comes over to your house and makes you a sandwich?
Man, that's EEL-y cute.
Do you guys have to be so cynical? It's definitely playful even if it is induced by food. I think it's cute
My hovercraft is full of eels
It's actually kinda sad. I imagine that if it is a legitimate emotional attachment (and not one of 'I want food, she has food'), then the eel probably also feels loneliness, like a dog would, when she doesn't see him.
Although, I don't actually think it is an emotional attachment. I just this the eel figured that this is an easy way to get food, and we recognize it's nuzzling behavior as affection because brain.

even humans are more friendly when food is involved.
for fuck's sake the stereotypical first date is going out for dinner or lunch or something. sharing food facilitates social bonding in almost every animal that actually creates social bonds that i can think of.
I am terrified of anything that comes from the water (including tiny ass little fish)
If people start putting things like this in their homes I'm fucking done for :(
and then she died
There have been a lot of stories of people feeding eels and becoming "friends" with them
Those stories usually ended when people forgot to bring food and got their fingers bitten off
