I recommend taking a melatonin supplement which is the chemical that your brain produces to make you go to sleep. Taking isn't really like taking medicine since you're just taking an excess of a chemical your brain already makes. It always helps me fall asleep when I can't. That or a good ol' bottle of NyQuil and a 5th of jack.
i usually (do this on the weekend/when you don't have work tomorrow) stay up all night and dont go to sleep at all. the next day you'll be very tired and will drop off straight away. i know people who have done this for 2 nights instead of one, but for me that's a bit extreme.
Ambien CR and whiskey.
Take some Melatonin.

Taking two helps me sleep.
Hey guys, starting from this Monday I've had a semi before and I cough a lot, maybe that's what disturbs my sleep? .
i usually Scream all i can, Start Shaking wildy and banging my head to the wall to tire myself out.
Works usually...
-snip-
All you can do is deal with it. Either roll around in bed for 7 hours or stay up and go to sleep early the next night.
I have heard that drinking milk can help you sleep easier at night.
I've had trouble falling alseep ever since I watched the trailer for paranormal activites. :tinfoil:
I woke up at 00:30 AM and couldn't fall asleep after that, my head was just racing and I semi slept (or so I think) till 05:00
Happens to me occasionally.
I usually start thinking of
absolutely random stuff that will happen next day in school\just next day.
Exactly, I'm goin to bed now and let's try how this works out
take a few horse pills, always works

Ya
snip, probably crossed the line
You should go see a doctor, or try doing something boring until you feel sleepy.
Lawl last week I didnt sleep at all for two different nights and ended up doing like 46hr days etc but nao I'm fine. IMO stick to a schedule and exercise moar, e.g. walk home instead of a car - it drains that energy out of you. Also the best way imo to sleep is to think of a song over and over in your head and playout scenes - you eventually fall asleep because you get so bored :D
That's an awful solution, wikipedia can keep me up all night.
Diddo. I do what every one else does. Day dream. Or night dream. Night dream by day dremaing at night without being asleep at night. Get it?
Stop using the computer before going to bed for at least a half hour. This includes all electronic devices with a screen. Any still image is actually tons of images that your mind processes, but you conciously think them a 1. These images flicker fast and your mind just stays wide awake. Read a book.
Hey guys, starting from this Monday I've had problems falling asleep. I went to bed at 09:30 PM because I felt shitty. I woke up at 00:30 AM and couldn't fall asleep after that, my head was just racing and I semi slept (or so I think) till 05:00 AM. I've never had insomnia before and this is completely new to me. I recently got sick and I cough a lot, maybe that's what disturbs my sleep? I don't know. The weird thing is that I don't feel that tired when I go up in the morning.
Now Doctor Facepunch, please help me go back to my normal sleeping pattern.
Try this. Lay on your back, arms at your sides, palms up, feet pointed towards the ceiling. breathe deep, then back out again. You'll sleep like a bear. This makes me super tired for some reason; I always seem to sleep easy after it.

This too. Being on a computer or anything causes your brain to want to keep processing stuff so you'll have more trouble sleeping.
happened to me a lot last year, I slept in our guest room where it was darker and the bed was more comfortable for a few days, and the whole thing king of drifted away.
and mine wasn't minor, either. I honestly was up for hours at night, just laying there. It was like a lucid dream of nothing.
Fapping before you goto bed helps, make sure you do it furiously though.
i woke up at 9pm today, fell asleep at 5pm that was the first sleep i had in 3 days because i woke up at 11 pm the day before this started, i need a job, being off from school till mid January, im gunna have a problem regulating my sleep.
Don't drink caffeine several hours before you have to go to sleep. I can't drink caffeine after 6, or I can't fall asleep until early morning.
Any effort to get sleep will only make it worse. [I]Remember that a calm, relaxed mind is the best facilitator for a restful sleep.

Drink a whole fucking cough syrup bottle. Just make sure it doesn't have Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) or Guaifenesin in it.
Fuck this thread. I couldn't sleep last night because of this FUCKING thread!
Owned :D
Also, I slept well last night. Went to bed about one hour later than usual and slept good.
