I didn't know but my city has a flag. It's fucking uglier than my state flag :v:

Admittedly, we've got a pretty badass seal, but the flag's meh. Our city flag, however, is pretty good:

I was looking up Polish city flags (surprising no one, they're almost all crest-on-ugly-colored-field) and found something even better than the old Provo flag Brace yourselves, here it comes https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e8/POL_Rabka-Zdr%C3%B3j_flag.svg/1639px-POL_Rabka-Zdr%C3%B3j_flag.svg.png It reads "Rabka-Zdroj the city of the world's children"
sorry boys but the real shit flag king is coming through https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/48/Staffordshire_Flag.svg/1200px-Staffordshire_Flag.svg.png Staffordshire AKA Pretzel Town whilst I'm here does anyone know the name of that picture of what I think is a female American interrogator or something with this guy they're interrogating, she's smiling and pointing at him with both hands and the guy has like a sack over his head
I think that might be Lynndie England you're referring to and she's not interrogating the guy I'm going to link it (very NSFW) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/93/AG-10B.JPG

Flags and coats of arms you say? Lemme first demonstrate something: The flag w/ coat of arms of Gornji Milanovac prior to 2009: http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/648/gornji-milanovac-zastava.png The flag now, in it's thumbnail sized embarrassment: http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/m/gornji-milanovac-zastava-bivsa.png Yes, it literally says "MUNICIPALITY OF GORNJI MILANOVAC" Let someone tell them they're retards. I'll post more neat flags Kikinda, because who doesn't love impaling Turk heads on swords? http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/648/kikinda-grb.png Flag of Jagodina, which literally means "strawberry town." In America it'd probably be Strawberryville http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/648/jagodina-zastava.png Of course, Svilajnac, "silk place" would feature a silk moth: http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/svilajnac-zastava.png Milwaukee 2, Babušnica: http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/648/babusnica-grb.png Yo dawg, i heard you like skylines, so i made your coat of arms into a skyline, put a carpet pattern into it and put another skyline into it. Pirot: http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/648/pirot-grb.png And now, my municipality (for now), Zvezdara. >his municipal great coat of arms doesn't come with gold what the fuck is that, a eagle lion? Leagle? http://www.zastave-grbovi.com/zigs/648/zvezdara-grb-veliki.png

I found this one for swords too: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1750/55219f80-0ee3-44dc-afc4-8c930f8e03b3/image.png
There are actually even more, search Bashford Dean. Here's something else from him, experimental helmets from WWI https://i.ytimg.com/vi/B6DNatRgp8w/maxresdefault.jpg And ummm... https://i.pinimg.com/originals/2f/01/6d/2f016d5bede4ceb9c86b4c2102dac93b.jpg
As nice as they look, those charts couldn't be more wrong. It was made by a zoologist at the start of the 20th century. It shows a lot of helmets, and tries to show how they were developed. Unfortunately for Dean, that's not how they were developed. Dean also made the mistake of trying to fill in missing armour pieces in armours, resulting in completely inaccurate armours. There were no complete surviving 14th century armours, so he decided to make his own from other pieces of armour. To someone that doesn't know a lot about historical armours, it doesn't look bad. https://images.metmuseum.org/CRDImages/aa/original/DT778.jpg To those that do know about armour, it was a monster. A mix of different pieces and a horrible cuirass/corazzina. Here's an example of an accurate replica of a corazzina: https://forgeofsvan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Corazzina-type-2-01.jpg The faulds on the lower torso are constructed out of several hooped lames. These allow the plates to go over each other and collapse when bending forward. The red corazzina above doesn't have this. It has large single plates which dig into your thighs if you try to bend over. This is the biggest problem with the red armour, but not the only. The bascinet lacks an aventail, which is designed to protect your neck and throat. The hourglass gauntlets lack fingers. While it is not the worst armour out there, it's a very bad example for 14th century armour and it's completely non-functional.

Don't want to sound like an old fart, but man, I really love this distinctness and contrast colors of all the old posters, regardless of their theme or country of origin. All of them have very solid focus and everything serves it's purpose. Super cool art wise. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-swe8P8bdTew/UAnkx8S2tuI/AAAAAAAADbE/7WF4LpoRib0/s1600/1965maninspaceSSSP01.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gGkHQyW07WY/T5XhRm5uW4I/AAAAAAAAC6k/EIT63a0beSw/s1600/lot_128.jpg Also speaking about space, this guy makes some crazy space illustrations. Make sure to check them out! https://pre00.deviantart.net/1700/th/pre/i/2017/289/d/5/cassini_by_macrebisz-dbqskwa.jpg

I don't know what it is about blue and orange that makes them look so aesthetically pleasing as lights in comparison to the other complementary colors, but I just love how they look in that photo.
They looked like giant tits
Maybe it's because they invoke the feeling of sunset/sunrise, or fire and ice. Very dramatic.

It's quite easy to produce orange light on a scale light that, high pressure sodium lamps produce that light, but blue is a little more unusual, the only way I know it can be produced for sure is with LED lamps. I'm not sure whether a place like that would be fully invested with LED lighting though (but holy shit is it more efficient than sodium, LEDs use something like 10x less power compared to high pressure sodium for similar light output)
US fighter plane found on Wales beach http://cdn.fishki.net/upload/post/2016/05/21/1957697/5-7.jpg Sixty-five years after it crash-landed on a beach in Wales, an American P-38 fighter plane has emerged from the surf and sand where it lay buried  Since the survey in October, the sands have again buried the plane, and “whether and when it will reappear is anybody’s guess.”
