It's in the national gallery in Scotland and you can just look at it for ages. So many little characters and details. Click to enlarge so you can see all the intricacies.

I have to wonder if this sort of humble honor is gone these days or if it simply isn't recognized, because only sensationalized bullshit moves papers.

Owing to sanctions placed on Iran following the 1979 Revolution, Iran Air has one of the oldest aircraft fleets in the world. Until the relaxation of sanctions in mid-2016 Iran Air was largely unable to replace its aircraft with newer models, with all of its fleet having been delivered new prior to 1979 or more rarely bought second-hand from other airlines. Following the lifting of sanctions on Iranian civil aviation, Iran Air plans to replace much of its current fleet with modern types by 2023. The airline has already phased out most of its 747 fleet, being the last operator of the 747-100 and 747SP.
I think this was posted in a earlier thread, but this is what happens if you land on the wrong aircraft carrier: I believe they're no longer allowed to do it although it probably doesn't happen that much anymore.
Wait what's the context? Navy aircraft landing on air force carriers or what?

The day before they closed, an Icelander named Hjörtur Smárason decided to buy a burger - not to eat, but to preserve. He stored the burger and fries in their original bag in his garage for nearly 3 years before deciding to check on it again. To his astonishment, the burger looked almost exactly the same as it did the day he bought it. Following this he donated the burger to the National Museum of Iceland in 2012, which displayed it for a year before deciding that "burgers should not be on display in the National Museum." The burger was then acquired by Bus Hostel Reykjavik, which has displayed it ever since.
The hostel maintains a 24-hour livestream of the burger, which can be viewed here, and occasionally takes it on day trips throughout Iceland: Also, the burger turned 7 years old today. :toot:
