I'll have to save it in my reference folder, thanks.

"Euro-American" Because blacks and Asians aren't American :v:
60's Viceroy Cigarettes Magazine Advertisement
I wonder if this was controversial? I mean, a vague implication of 'master race' in the 60s, when World War II was still fresh in people's minds... Then again, the weird choice of names for the races makes me wonder if this ad was actually a bit PC for the time, since the names focus on region of origin rather than skin colour.

"Forgottonia" "North Slope" Thank god these didn't get statehood, just because of their names alone
"Superior" Damn straight.
Imagine how many more tolls there would be from state to state. If you had to commute between states, pretty much all of your weekly pay would go into tolls.

All Concorde flights following this were either ferry flights to museums or by invitation only. Boarding begins at 42:00, plane leaves gate at around 50:00, takes off around 1:09:00, and lands at 1:53:00.
Map of proposed US states: [t]http://i.imgur.com/kjx1N55.jpg[/t]
I feel like a lot of these states would be economically useless and leach on their neighbors.

From finding the COG of a rod in a shop to calculating the revolving mass COG for 10 coupled engines to predicting the effect of unbalanced reciprocating mass on the loco bed, and even then areo engineers scare me. Imagine the math to figure out the stretching of a plane at hithero unthinkable speeds, done on a slide rule and paper. Fucking hell man
Map of proposed US states: [t]http://i.imgur.com/kjx1N55.jpg[/t]
For all intents and purposes I think it would be better if Southern Illinois broke from Northern Illinois. I also doubt St. Louis would survive without the rest of Missouri.
I feel like a lot of these states would be economically useless and leach on their neighbors.
It looks like a lot of them seem to be at least partially separated based on economic areas. Multnomah county in Oregon, for example, is the biggest portion of Oregon's economy as far as I know and it got separated into an entire state. Most of the Oregon coast and the rest of the Willamette Valley got separated into Oregon while southern Oregon joined with northern California which is a region that makes a decent amount of sense. Same with eastern Oregon and eastern Washington being combined. (Though Washington randomly migrating like 80% across the US on the other hand is kinda weird, lol.)

It takes me longer to fly from Sumburgh airport to Glasgow international and that's somewhere near 400 miles. The quoted flight time is roughly an hour and a half for that.

It's bad enough with the current representatives of the 50 states.
We should have annexed Cuba
So they can suffer doctor malpractices and commonwealth-wide bankruptcy with no Congressional bail-out like Puerto Rico?
The video was edited. It took ~3 hours to fly from Heathrow to JFK.
Ah, my mistake. Point stands though, double the time to fly 10 times the distance.
