This is a pretty amazing project but I feel like those legs really could use a lot more work, they SEEM pretty flimsy and with more weight would grant the entire thing more stability which it desperately needs if it would be used for industrial work.

I have a weird phobia of spaces of water in enclosed spaces like this. Swimming pools don't weird me out but these just make me really anxious.

I like how we jumped straight from 1940's janky ass steelmaking to science fiction within about two posts.
That is seriously amazing though. I can't wait for the day when they're so common we can have mech hot rods

Japanese map of Europe, 1939.
Note that it doesn't recognize the German invasion of Poland but does recognize the Soviet occupation of the Baltic States

Bizarre because Japan and the Soviets were at eachother's throats and even fought a few battles in 1939.

I imagine that's why, they're ignoring their ally's act of war, and publishing their enemies invasions. Just propaganda

The music is beautiful. Would want it.
It puts into perspective how terrifyingly powerful we have become as a species. Someone sitting however many miles away from you out in water sending something that you honestly can't avoid, see or prepare for mostly.
Or how in America we have machines that can kill a person with the single twitch of muscle readily available and even out numbering the population they supply. Now this isn't an argument for or against guns, military or any of that stuff I just like to sit back and realize how awesomely terrifying we are. It really sobers you up.
We've gotten awfully effective at killing.

also love how in the second shot the big 'pillar is holding its forelegs together like it's going "Awww it's so cute"

Dont take for granted how effective humanity has been at building things that help rather than hurt.
The great irony being many of those advancements happened because of war both directly and indirectly.
