An interesting take on "vertical" farming

Would really love to buy a dozen of these things to grow with

Guess which one is on fire and which one is a sunset reflection?
[sp]They are both sunset reflections.[/sp]
Trippy effect but the lack of smoke, especially on a "fire" as big as the first picture makes it kind of obvious. I could see some freaked out people calling 911 for sure though.

It doesn't look like a fire in motion tho, you can also tilt your head etc.
What if we are all on fire and that's sunset reflection

First one is pretty obviously not a fire, but the second one you'd be hard pressed to convince people it's not a fire imo.

great video
but literally clickbait af title
Well it got me to click it and though it wasn't what I expected topic wise, it was what I expected quality wise.
You should see the comments, they're all arguing over religion when there wasn't even much of a religious context in there at all. It reads like satire at this point.

Why do people even bother going "look at the comments/don't read the comments, it's all arguing over unrelated things/stupid bullshit" at this point?
I've been seeing people do it a lot recently and I don't now why when everybody already knows that Youtube comments are a foregone conclusion.

It's like informing people that water is wet.
But then isn't your post kind of in the same vein, the "man above it all" who is tired of the same mindless sheep posting the same thing over and over? Your post is just as repeated as mine is if you think about it.
But hey it gives us something fun to talk about right? We're all just repeats on a mortal coil and human psychology works just like that wheel with all of us going in a circle.
edit -Though that brings up the idea of gene manipulation and removing factors such as a human being more prone to anger or easily annoyed at mundane things. I think that would be the big next step to singularity, as eventually to advance we're going to have to shed a lot of the things that cause conflict which of course is the individuality of a person.

Water isn't wet. Water can wet a solid surface, like many other liquids, but being wet is not a property that water can possess.

Apparently taken by the Juno space craft, which I've now learned carries these aluminium figurines on board:

Real Winnie the Pooh characters

And the real Christopher Robin
While serving abroad, he began to resent what he saw as his father's exploitation of his childhood, and came to hate the books that had thrust him into the public eye.

In 1951, Milne and his wife moved to Dartmouth to found the Harbour Bookshop. This turned out to be a success, though his mother had thought the decision odd, as Milne did not seem to like "business", and as a bookseller would regularly have to meet Pooh fans. While both of these issues did at times cause them frustration, Milne and his wife ran their bookshop for many years without any help from royalties from sales of the Pooh books.
This has to be some of the cleanest footage I've ever seen of a nuclear test - and some of it is in colour too! Very impressive for 1946.

I know it would never happen but imaging such a bomb test today, with all the highspeed cameras and 8K cameras we have.
It would be pretty amazing, especially with a more modern bomb as well.
People would probably pay a lot of money to see it first hand (at a save distance).

Whenever I see Bikini Atoll test footage, I can't help but feel bad for all the sailors who're getting exposed to all that radiation as their ships move in closer to the hypocenter.

I just can't help but feel sad for all the ships that were blown to fuck in those tests. Nagato, Prinz Eugen, Saratoga, as pointless as it may have seemed to them at the time I would have loved to see those ships restored and preserved, rather than nuked just to see what would happen. Props to Nagato for surviving two nuclear blasts anyways.

don't forget the USS Nevada, the only battleship to get underway at the pearl harbor attack. it's the big orange one in those videos

survived the nuclear attacks but ultimately was towed back to pearl harbor and sunk with an aerial torpedo
