It reminds of some stock photos found in catalogs that my dad used to own that generally looked something like this:

Based on the same filtering that allows people to read any word completely misspelled as long as the first and last letter are correct.

The expression of the little kid in his white pajamas summarizes my impression of the painting pretty well.
For those who don't know, the 30 Years War was horrendous.
[t]https://puu.sh/ubFje/8d71b1953c.png[/t]
It involved dozens of nations and hundreds of thousands of soldiers marching about central Europe, mainly Germany, for 30 years (1618-1648)
The casualties were enormous.

This does not take into account displaced peoples.
It was the first large scale war with such ferocity and animosity since the third Punic 'War'.
oh btw he died like that
Ahhh, fucking sucks. After 24 hours of being stuck, the rescue workers got him loose, and they gave him water, food, and an IV. Sighs of relief mentioned. Then a couple of hours later the pulley system failed. He fell and got stuck in the same gap again.

I remember reading about this, poor guy was in such a tight spot that when he died rescue workers decided it wasn't worth the risk to recover his body. It was eventually decided the cave should be sealed off for good, with him still buried inside as his final resting place.
On a lighter note, we had a partial blackout yesterday. A switch gear exploded so half our plant got power. It was either equipment got power or lights got power. A small section got both, which was creepy since it was in the middle of the plant surrounded by darkness.

Actually I'd say that's pretty awesome, you get your own tomb which is also a cave you loved exploring.
I really don't understand the want to climb into caves that barely even fit you though. Build a pillow castle or something.

It mentions not being able to get him out without breaking his legs. If that were me, at that point I'd say break whatever you gotta break. Dying like that sounds worse than hell.

I would rather die from the trauma of being aggressively yanked out than by sitting there with my thoughts until I expire.

Some future culture is probably going to misinterpret it at some kind of ancient burial practice and call him a king/respected figure/punished prisoner.
I think if it was tilting downwards and there was not enough room for me to switch from head first to feet first, I would not want to go in there.

You'd rather starve to death in a dark hole than have your legs broken?
Here is an interesting one:

There was a very good chance he would have died from the shock of having his legs broken. He was already having breathing difficulties due to his inverted position and being wedged in the crevice, and if I'm not wrong he ultimately suffocated.
