^I took that one standing from the cab of the Big Boy(they let you climb into it). That's a DDA40x "Centennial", the largest single unit and one of most powerful diesel locomotives ever built. Union Pacific still has one operating in excursion and freight service.
I was watching the Transference trailer and noticed the logo of the studio.

My pea plants as of June 18th
[t]http://i.imgur.com/UXFXIzb.jpg[/t]
Got a fairly nice harvest out of them
[t]http://i.imgur.com/uyHs7Za.jpg[/t]
However, due to the recent heatwave, they're slowly dying
[t]http://i.imgur.com/8jImHT9.jpg[/t]
But that's alright, because it'll clear space for my onions growing indoors at the moment

Also have more pictures of my peppers, sage, cucumbers and tomatoes if anyone wants to see.
Post em
My cucumbers, flowering like crazy. This is when I first entered the garden, before I rearranged their vines and weeded
[t]http://i.imgur.com/8hWhdPq.jpg[/t]
And this is after I weeded. Cucumbers are dumb, they don't always see the trellis right beside them, so often you have to unwind their vines latching onto each other and prop them up onto the trellis. (Still some weeds in the back, but I couldn't reach them very well)
[t]http://i.imgur.com/8VWMHbp.jpg[/t]
And here are the first two cucumbers themselves. It'll be another month or two before these guys are fully grown and ready to eat. They're roughly 1-2 inches long right now.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/LJfY5f8.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/KRhAKuz.jpg[/t]
This is my Big Boy tomato plant. Hasn't gotten any fruit yet on it, but it has flowers
[t]http://i.imgur.com/nDgDCZS.jpg[/t]
And this is my Early Girl tomato, which is flowering and bearing fruit
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Z2zMmAv.jpg[/t]
Here's the Early Girl. Like the cucumbers, it'll be a bit longer before they're ripe
[t]http://i.imgur.com/QcotBof.jpg[/t]
My two cherry tomato plants. Flowering like crazy and starting to bear fruit
[t]http://i.imgur.com/17PM0sE.jpg[/t]
Some of the cherry tomatoes. These may be ripe in a week or two. I just have to keep an eye on the weather. While tomatoes are very thirsty plants, if it rains too heavily, it'll cause the tomatoes to split and "explode". The larger tomatoes above are more resistant to that, but the cherries being so small split easily with excessive watering.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/DiCBkrq.jpg[/t]
Some lower branches of the tomato plants I pruned. It's a common practice to remove most of the branches below the first flowering branch of the tomato to help the plant put more energy into fruit production as well as prevent pests from making a home at the base of the plant
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Kc8Yxtt.jpg[/t]
Here are my bell peppers.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/JswpU95.jpg[/t]
The peppers are starting to fruit, though these ones may not be fully ripe until mid August. My mouth is salivating at the thought of stuffed peppers this year
[t]http://i.imgur.com/8teSEoP.jpg[/t]
Here is my sage, oregano, and culantro (not to be confused with cilantro, a separate herb). Some of the sage are growing like weeds, others are just holding to where they where when transplanted. Not entirely sure what their issue is, haven't planted them before.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/nycbl4o.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/BHEbrtC.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/jZGKzty.jpg[/t]
Here is a potato. But I did not plant this potato this year. I planted this last spring and harvested what I thought was all of the potatoes. I had thought this was an empty pot for the longest time, but now it has a potato growing in it. My plan is to let it be this year, since it's just 1, and let it regrow next spring, hoping for multiple harvests without having to plant taters again. The stem is so heavy and floppy that I had to put the thing in a tomato cage (not shown).
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9XL2k6G.jpg[/t]
Here are the carrots. Never grown them before, but they look like they're doing well, I guess?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Fiyvrl9.jpg[/t]
Here are beats, being grown inside. These are going to my fiance's garden, not mine. I won't have a picture of her garden for a while (not visiting her actual house for a couple weeks due to other plans), but she has corn, strawberries, sunflowers, spearmint, lettuce and some other stuff growing at her house.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/oQfiCl5.jpg[/t]
All the weeds I pulled out of my garden. I really shouldn't have let it gone that bad, but at least it's clean for now. At the other end of the yard I have an old trash can I dump all this into to slowly compost it.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/shEft1J.jpg[/t]
Some more pea pictures I forgot to post earlier
[t]http://i.imgur.com/FlYq9A4.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HlUkiXF.jpg[/t] - these were juicy as hell
And here's my whole set up as of now. I had built a terrace behind my garden to house the sage plants in pots so they're out of the way in the rest of the yard.

My parents grew some peppers. Their Jalapenos are unnaturally hot. I don't understand. I can handle heat, and I sometimes put Jalapenos on my pizza and other foods, but these things... I ate one slice and It was waaay hotter than the Thai chilies they grew that I tasted the other day (I ate the whole Thai chili in one bite, too). I've been calling them the Jalapenos from hell, or Hellapenos.
Can't wait to try their Habaneros.
I love the aesthetic they had going on in the 80s. It looks very warm and comfy

Dry and then wet conditions tend to concentrate the capsaicin veins.
Dry and then wet conditions tend to concentrate the capsaicin veins.
I have heard that if the plant is kept in really hot conditions, it'll make the peppers hotter, but I do not know if that is true or an old wive's tale.
I attempted to grow jalapenos last year, only got about 7 or so out of the 5 plants I had. Most of them were very tiny as well. I don't think they liked my soil very much.
Peppers grow super easy here in east Texas. Put them in the dirt, let them be, water them. You'll have more peppers than you know what to do with in no time.
[editline]20th June 2017[/editline]
I want to look into sauces and such but I don't know if a sauce made from those hell spawns would be edible. Not to mention the habaneros we got ripening up.
Could always try to make a sauce to mix with some other sauce. Like just use a little dab of the jalapeno sauce on a barbecue. Probably best to try with a rack of ribs, I can't imagine a spicy, fiery hot dog like that.

Anything that prompts dehydration and therefore vein concentration is very much a real thing.

That's actually a sawmill incinerator called a "Beehive Burner". Waste material and sawdust would be constantly fed into it and the net on the top kept the larger embers contained. There used to be a dozen of them still active around here when I moved to BC in 2000 but they have all long been shutdown due to new regulations.

Oh man, I'm willing to let this one pass in the 21st century. They usually ran 24/7 until the ashes needed to be cleaned out and released massive amounts of smoke and sent air particulate levels through the roof. Our local pulp mill would do the same until they built a new smokestack halfway up the side of a mountain so that the emissions wouldn't settle back into the valley.

While I can appreciate all these steampunk and mills and factories, thank god they're part of history.
Now if we could incorporate that style into clean energy, that will be interesting.
