The chart is actually legit, to my (dismay and) surprise: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2014/04/07/the-less-americans-know-about-ukraines-location-the-more-they-want-u-s-to-intervene/
Only one in six could place it on the map. Though to be fair, I guess I'd have trouble placing African countries in the right spot as well.
I like how several guessed the northern coast of the UK. Like, maybe UKraine is an island of the UK.
Some people put it in the middle of nowhere, in the sea above Scandinavia... This doesn't seem legit

Ah yes, there's this wonderful place in the Netherlands called Baarle-Hertog if you're a Dutch citizen, and Baarle-Nassau if you're a Belgian citizen. It's a clusterfuck of enclaves. I think officially, there are parts in Baarle-Hertog/Nassau where you have enclaves within an enclave.

It's that grey speck on the map.

Pretty interesting place. I think some people there are Dutch and Belgian citizens at the same time, and receive mail from both governments, if memory serves me right.

If it's true, this is amazing.

Gotta love our gov.
Incase you've not been up to speed some of the more egregious behaviour includes trying to ban services which use encryption if they don't provide a back door and banning a whole load of porn (watersports, spanking etc) for literally no reason and with no mandate - especially ironic or hypocritical considering the slew of claims now coming out about various esteemed members of the Conservative party.
I think the censorship mentioned on that infographic is re the time when somebody took topless pics of the prince's wife without permission. Seems reasonable to get a law involved but its not like they'd consider anything like that if one of us ordinary plebs had the same thing happen to us.

One would think with all the coal rich countryside they have, they would at least have electricity more often than not.

I always assumed Iwo Jima was covered in volcanic rock due to the images of the battle being black and white.

If I remember correctly, it also came from the significant, multi-day bombardment. Similar to the massive forests in Paschendale and the Somme, which were reduced to toothpicks.

There was a kind of construction boom in the past few years in Pyongyang, so whole new districts popped up with some elaborate decorative lighting:

But before I'd start to follow in RAYHALOs footsteps, it should be mentioned that some, if not most of these buildings were made with subpar materials and under impossible time constraints. So I really wouldn't be surprised to see one collapse in the future.

They have normal, liveable apartments. The problem is that people are terrified to live inside them due to the risks (eg. there is no way you can properly build a 270m high rise in 74 days).
Apparently one high ranking official had an allotted apartment in one of the buildings and he paid a significant sum just to be allowed to live elsewhere.
