I remember getting annoyed at the burping too. It was almost every time he said a sentence in the first episodes.
Thankfully it has died down to pretty much not being in the show anymore.

Its an adorable show, really. If you have a younger sister, or daughter, I'd recommend curling up on the couch together and watch it.
