Remove the vegetable oil and use butter instead
I'll try this tonight.
Gonna try it next week
You sure you didn't forget to add one egg in there right? Anyway I've made this a couple of times, but it's more of a solid chocolate-flavored bread than cake or brownie. It's great when you really, really crave chocolate but the spongy texture is somewhat off-putting. I recommend substituting some of the sugar with light syrup. Also use butter instead of vegetable oil.

I remember when I made a thread about this.
I have these products, but I have no idea where they are. I never go into the kitchen unless I am getting a drink, or looking around aimlessly for food.

[editline]26th January 2011[/editline] fucking stomach ache
Sounds like you might be making it a bit too rich. Cut down on either the amount of cocoa, salt, sugar or the chocolate chips if you are using them. Might not turn out as well but it should reduce the richness which might stop the stomach ache. Alternatively, you might not have left it to "bake" long enough.
I had no unsweetened cocoa powder, so I used that chocolate shell stuff.
Is that brownie supposed to be green?
Surprise surprise, it tastes like shit. Would getting rid of the chocolate and upping the amount of vanilla extract make it taste like vanilla?
protip: put some Hershey's chocolate sauce in it before you put it in the microwave. nuts are also a good addition to this recipe.
How about making rainbow Brownies?
Turned out pretty good, could be sweeter though.
I brought all the ingredients into my home EC class on our last cooking day, everyone was pretty astounded when I put a brown liquid into the microwave and out came cake. I felt like a badass that day.
My microwave is like a radioactive furnace. One minute for most people is like 15 seconds for me. I forget this constantly. :saddowns:

Does this work with an oven too?
I recommend you pick up a real brownie recipe for the oven. I've tried these once or twice, it's decent but definitely not on par with normal brownies. Comes out usually more cooked than baked. Though I recommend adding a handfull of oatmeal into it. Also use cocoa powder (the unsweatened kind) instead of hot chocolate.
Tastes like a complete shit, and looks the same.
Put some weed in it.
Find me some
I tried doing this ages ago when the first thread was up. It came out looking and smelling like shit, so it went straight in the bin.
Mine was great.
I have the sudden urge to eat chocolate cake or brownies.
