The end result is a little dry but I bet mixing a bit of chocolate sauce in (not too much but enough to sort of distribute it in the mixture) before microwaving would help that.

Skipping the egg makes the result a lot more chocolate cake batter-like and less like a dry brownie-bread hybrid. If you'd like it to be even more chocolate cake-y, use milk instead of water and replace some of the sugar with syrup.

I made one just now. Forgot to put the sugar in before I microwaved it. So I put it in during the cooking process. I strongly advise that you just throw it out if any one else is stupid enough to do this.
