How I watch Star Wars:
-:350:
-Pop in 4, 5, 6
-Burn episodes 1-3 (like literally...with fire)
My friends and I were discussing how you were suppose to watch the Starwars movies.
I argued that you should watch them in the order the films were released.
4-5-6-1-2-3
On the other hand, my friends were arguing that you should watch them in number.
1-2-3-4-5-6
What do you think?
Edit: I apologize if this was a repost.
Well i would say it depends how you want to experince the films. I think you get 2 different experinces depending on which oder you watch them. If you go 1,2,3,4,5,6 you understand it easier and get a better sense of storytelling.
that way but if you go with 6,5,4,3,2,1 you get the acctual order in which they were made this can be confusing but it has an advantage, you have good story telling and then good action to finnish, i think thats a nice way of watching the films. Kind of like the first trilogy was all talk but the new trilogy backs up the claims of the wars and fighting nicley. So it depends but personally i would like to watch them 1,2,3,4,5,6 that way you understand whats going on its logical to watch them in order from a story point of view. Oh if you want to know why they where made out of order i can tell you.
Meh, maybe once that guy who does the amazing hour and thirty minute review of Episode 3, I'll realize how much it sucks but the Yoda/Lord Sidious and Obi Wan/Anakin battle made up for it.
Dunno, it was really cool for a while but then they started doing stupid shit like playing frisbee with the senate seats, falling on their bums and going into exile for no apparent reason, spinning lightsabers like retards at a disco party and generally mucking about in lava without getting burned for way too long for the fight to stay its welcome.

you and DudeGuyKT killed it.

Mine took it too far, but his sounds like the name of a star wars character.
They should 'demaster' Episodes 1-3, ie make everything look like it came from the late 70s-early 80s. I'd love to watch the films as if they were made in chronological order without vomiting.
1-6 was my fav way 2 watch
Episode 3 is, in my opinion, good enough to sit with the original 3.
That doesn't mean it's better than the original 3, it's just not as bad as 1&2.
I watch it on the order of release, 456-123.
But seriously, Episode 1 just sucks.
4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3. Then watch it 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

I like Episode 1. Minus Jar Jar of course.
I really liked Ep1, don't really get all the hate. Ep2 was bad, Ep3 wasn't great I'll admit tho.
I'd say 123456
I'd say watch 4-5-6 and ignore 1-2-3
1-2-3-4-5-6
all of them except for episode 2
The only problem of:
1-2-3-4-5-6
Is the fact you miss the giant plot twist in episode 4 and it actually makes the originals into worse films as they loose all the mystery.
1 was terrible, 2 was decent and 3 was pretty good.
2 was far worse than 1. 1 at least had the Darth Maul duel.
Watch them 4-5-6-Darth Maul-3

Yeah, pretty much that.
REAL ORDER:
4-5-6-2-3
:smug:
2 was far worse than 1. 1 at least had the Darth Maul duel.
Watch them 4-5-6-Darth Maul-3
Darth Maul sucks. I hated that duel. My favourite duel is between Vader and Luke in Return, followed by Vader vs Obi-Wan on the Death Star. Why? Because those duels mean something. I also preferred lightsabre battles when they were more like samurai sword fighting and less like a junior high gymnastic group's performance with the Mortal Kombat theme in the background.
I'd say watch 4-5-6 and ignore 1-2-3
Seriously, just do this. These are epic tales. The first three don't really need to exist at all, and they don't really do a good job of portraying what I think everyone THOUGHT happened leading up to the original trilogy, so just forget 'em.
Oh God, yes.
Someone else who thinks the new lightsaber fights are fucking ridiculous.
The original duels were methodical now it's like George Lucas watched House of Flying Daggers too much.
I when my Dad got the Box set Watched them in this Order
1-2-4-5-6
Thats because I watched 3 in the Cinema
Didn't really listen in the first 2 but 4-5-6 Were epic
I really like 5.
4-5-6
Forget about the others
I can actually make more sense if you watch 4-5-6-1-2-3
Actually I've been thinking
How about 1-2-4-5-3-6
That way you don't spoil 5 and 3 shows a flashback of the fall of Anakin.
But otherwise 4-5-6.
4-5-6
1-2-3 are cool movies if you wanna see special effects but they're bad compared to 4-5-6.
1-2-3-4-5-6, Because if your a true fan you have to watch em all from start to finish
