It read ringed?
Was it a good book?
Yes it was.
I've had mine for 4 years and it just RROD'ed on me.
That's because you have a life
RROD was set up by the Bush administration ... and jews, btw.
I just sent mine back to microsoft and they fixed it and gave me silver xbox live!
Same thing for me.
PS3's don't RRoD.
PS3's don't RRoD.
They don't RROD cause after three hours of playing you've got no more games to play.
PS3's don't RRoD.
That's because the PS3 isn't awesome. The more awesome and powerful something is the more it has to be taken care of

Damn right. Microsoft makes the most "awesome" products in the world. 360s are so awesome that if you look at it funny it instantly kills itself. Windows is even more "awesome", you don't even need to give it a funny look for it to have a complete emotional breakdown.
My xbox360 RRoD and I bought a new one off ebay for $63.
Mine just RRoD for the first time yesterday, had it since april 08 and hardly play it :\
sad face.
I am on my 8th 360. All of them RROD'd within 2 and a half months of my getting them. Every single time they've sent me a new one 3 damn months later. I fucking hate Microsoft, but the 360, while being a steaming pile of fecal matter, is the best console currently available.
Sounds like your fault, have you tried to take care of the RROD issues at all?
RROD being a heating issue, my comp is going through the same thing but there is not much I can do about it. It is stored in a closed wooden case and cuts out every so often on newer, nicer games but I can see why. If I bought a new desk and an internal fan the comp would have no more ventilation issues.
What I mean is, make sure you keep the Xbox above the carpet, upright (some Xb owner help me, was it upright or on its side that was better?) on a metal/glass table, and with an attachment cooling system that can be found at GameStop or Newegg/amazon.
lol. This is the funniest conspiracy yet.
I'm on my first 360.
They break because twats don't take care of them.
I take 30 minute breaks after every 6 hours of playing and I have lots of free space around both the game console and the converter.

The attachment cooling systems actually make the issue worse, from what I recall. The idea was that it intervened with the regular cooling and all hell broke lose.
I've had mine for a year,no problems, probably because i don't overheat it all the freaking time.
I just had an RRoD a few days ago... Don't bump the power cord. It scared me (it works after you turn it on and off) I just got the thing a few months ago.
I bet OP had an Xbox RROD 2 days after his warranty expired.
Meh, I took out my hard drive, blew into it, and popped it back in. Worked like a charm.

It's because it's made by a software company...
Well what about the PS3's fatal error?
It only effects 10% of consoles but Microsoft has been saying that it's as bad as the RROD. Maybe Microsoft is SONY.

Uhh it's not 10% it's less than 1%. Which is still lower than the average failure rate of electronics.
If your console needs to be replace (an elite) and you keep hold of the hard drive, if they can't repair it and need to replace it, will they give you back a black console?
I've had mine for 2 or 3 years and nothing's ever happened to it.
Breakin' ma automerge

The key word being MICROSOFT, i.e the ones with the fucking rival console.
Anyone who gets an RRoD just isn't looking after it right. Playing it for hours on end and overheating it, knocking it over while it's on, anything like that. It's a fragile console. But leave it alone and it's fine.
I've had mine for 2 or 3 years and nothing's ever happened to it.
Lucky you, I had mine a year before the RRoD
I've had RRod 2 times and I haven't paid a cent to get it fixed. The warranty here in Finland is different from the warranty in USA I guess.

If I had paid £190 for something I'd fucking treat it with utmost fucking respect. Considering you don't even move it around, unlike an iPod or other delicate things of that nature, it shouldn't be that hard to give it a nice place to sit so it doesn't die of heatstroke.
I got the RROD, remembered I still had the best buy warranty, swapped it with a new console with an HDMI port.
