The game actually looked better in Alpha. Plus no more Ring Bing Carlos. I'll continue to keep my eye on the game since I like the premise, but it ain't looking good thus far.
It still weirding me out that they have plushies of the "neighbor" and there's so much video about him, like "I CALLED HELLO NAIGHBOR AND HE PICKED UP" or "MINECRAFT HELLO NEIGHBOR VS BOSS BABY". The people who created the plushies and the videos makes him look like a "kid friendly" thing kinda like FNaF. I hope this trend of "killers from horror games turned into kids stuff" stops.
I have a Tumblr blog (that I haven't updated in like two months) where I mainly talk about game design. I've gotten some random, blog follow me, then unfollow me when I didn't return the follow, at least twice now - and that blog, despite not being an official Hello Neighbor one, only had reblogs of Hello Neighbor stuff. Which is why I didn't follow back - one game, in particular one I don't care much about, isn't worth cluttering my social media with. Apparently they're putting more effort into trying to go viral than on actually making their game.
are you talking about https://donmihalych.tumblr.com/ ? the blog followed me till very recently
Why is it so fucking open? What happened to the actually home looking house that was alot better than whatever the fuck this is.

Now hes got someone screaming in his basement and knocked you out, so nice I guess?
Why is it so fucking open? what the fuck would even make the doors react like that i legitimately can't think of why the door would be wigging out that bad
I watch this guy, normally his videos aren't edited like this, hopefully he doesn't try something like this again because its pretty bad. :v:
John's recent videos have actually been pretty entertaining with their editing. This one I think was definitely more hit or miss, though.
Why does the neighbour's house look like such a fucking monstrosity? I liked the premise a lot more when the neighbour was someone who went nuts and barricaded and bobby-trapped his house instead of building 15 houses on top of his existing one.
what the fuck would even make the doors react like that i legitimately can't think of why the door would be wigging out that bad
looks like it's misaligned with some parts of it colliding with the world
Good lord this looks bad, I feel sorry for everyone who had high hopes for this game.

Given enough time I'm pretty sure it would be the game people hoped it would be
The earlier version looked so much better.
The big YouTubers really need to stop forcing games like these to become commercial successes so early in their development. It's like the reverse Midas touch - once the YouTube hype wears off and kids start foaming at the mouth for the next flavour of the month, the game just turns into shit.
The earlier version looked so much better.
If I didn't know about this game and someone told me the beta build in the OP is actually a pre-alpha concept, and this one being the actual beta, I'd believe them.
are you talking about https://donmihalych.tumblr.com/ ? the blog followed me till very recently
Maybe? I don't remember the exact name. The content looks about the same though.
Weird, I just checked the internet and there are videos of this game with literally dozens of millions of views, but I've seen it mentioned it twice on my time on the internet. I always thought it was some kind of niche game, not a FnaF wannabe.
I find it hilarious that the first time the neighbor spots the player just wondering outside the house he smashes his own window out then hops out to chase him.
I remember finding someone that made a video about each version of the alpha that came out, and it seemed like every update changed the layout of the house. First it was a normal sized house, then it was a huge sprawling tower like the fuckin Kids Next Door built it, and then the next version it was back to a regular sized house. It seemed to keep alternating between normal and stupid huge every time a new update came out, I guess they finally picked a size

Why does the neighbour's house look like such a fucking monstrosity? A small house in the beginning and as you continue to play, the game gives you harder to beat buildings like a huge tower that ramp up the difficulty.
Also wow they ripped the main riff from Left 4 Dead. Could be a coincidence though but it is the same little motif.
It must be a coincidence. Well, at least this one sounds kinda nice… I am disappointed by how many bugs Dynamic Pixels introduces in their following revisions to Hello Neighbor's pre-release versions, first they break a lot of shit that was fine in Alpha 4 with Beta 1 (and thus have to issue a Beta 2), then they forget to update the Player Start-point in Fear_Darkness to not be below the floor, thus trapping the player there unless they ghost themselves free. Oh wait, you can't unless you use a trainer, because the devs got rid of the console since Alpha 3. Couldn't those Sputniks have waited 'til Q1 August?
the house looks like baby's first hammer map
What the hell happened? I watched the earliest gameplay videos when it actually looked like a fucking house and everything there is gone in this. That is such a disappointing 180.
The fuck happened to this game? The pre-alpha build looked good, and now this programing laziness of a mess. Truly a shame.
This actually looks significantly worse than the alpha...
To me, the changes between Hello Neighbor's revisions are impressive to say the least, but I get ticked off from the amount of problems Dynamic Pixels introduced with Alpha 4. Firstly, the door above the shed with glue jars clips into the house's geometry and thus makes it near impossible to open when that was never a problem in Alpha 3, then there's the Beta where they made a load of bugs appear that weren't in previous builds (and even had to make a Beta 2 version just to fix the problems in Beta 1, which if you ask me means they should've postponed it 'til Q1 August). Why can I not use the crowbar to get boards off the doors? Why is the basement door also clipping into the geometry when you devs fixed the shed's door? How to even beat Fear_Supermarket legit? Why is it so hard to get to the Fear_Factory level and even leave without restarting the damn game? Lastly, they even managed to make Fear_Darkness (the pantry) impossible to enter unless you glitch the door out of position with bear traps, and then your spawnpoint is underneath the floor!
What the hell happened? I watched the earliest gameplay videos when it actually looked like a fucking house and everything there is gone in this. That is such a disappointing 180.
Different difficulties with different buildings.
Different difficulties with different buildings.
I swear, it's better to write directly to Dynamic Pixels instead of mentioning the complaints on Steam. Beta 3 better be the last damn pre-release build, considering how they managed to neglect the end door in Fear_School having been widened and moved out of position.
