This is quite possibly the most offputting title I've ever seen. It's like reverse clickbait. The fact that it's almost insulting my intelligence makes me want to avoid the video at any cost.

Well fuck it, I enjoyed the movie. I think the humor was a little more in line with what I expected from Star Wars than it was in TFA. I liked that it added a little bit of darkness and grit to the Good vs. Evil battle, without going overboard on the grittiness overall. I liked that not everyone dies like a hero. Nonsensical, multi-step process to send a signal to ships in low-planetary orbit? Pretty much what I'd expect from Star Wars. It's a series conceived in the 1970s and a little bit of cheese and odd-ball "technology" is something I anticipate from the series anyway. I both agree and disagree with her last point. You can't complain about cardboard characters and then trash on Cassian being set up to be dark and opening the movie with a pretty dick-move that some would call heinous, but be represented as a good guy overall. The point is to demonstrate that he is trying to be a good person but has given himself over to a cause that requires he do morally questionable things, which is an element of creating an interesting character. Eadu, for example, being a demonstration of him trying to find where to draw the line between what he wants to do as a person and what he wants (needs?) to do as a member of the Rebellion. I do agree that some opportunity to create more depth in him and Jen/Gin/Gjenn Urso was wasted and not expounded on as much as it could have been; the moral quandaries and character development definitely / representation weren't the movies strong suit. Certainly not a perfect movie, but there's a number of things I think they did a good job with.
